LOVED IT FROM START TO FINISH

We were in Daylesford for the weekend celebrating with another couple and had been recommended this restaurant by a chef friend of ours who raved about it. That was recommendation enough for us and we were not disappointed. We too had the 6 course tasting menu and added the wagu dish. We really... read more

Kazuki is situated in Daylesford in the heart of Regional Victoria's fresh and honest produce offering. It's this produce that contributes to the modern Japanese inspired dishes. The Japanese inspiration is, however, subtle and not overt. We dined on a Saturday evening and was offered the Traditional Tasting menu at a reasonable $120 per person. The menu can be altered... We went to Kazuki's on Friday night as part of a girls weekend away. We booked this restaurant based on the exceptional reviews on trip advisor and were totally disappointed !!! Let's start with the food. This is no way Japanese. If you are looking for a traditional Japanese restaurant then do not go here !! They may be Japanese... More

We went on a Friday night to Kazuki's as part of our girls weekend. We were excited to eat some great Japanese food .... There wasn't any !!! This is a Japanese owned restaurant serving French, Italian ... And anything else they could throw into a very confused menu. We ended up doing a 2 course with some extras because... More

What a gem of a place hidden in down town Daylesford. Absolutely delicious Japanese fusion menu with plenty to please the most committed foodie, and lots for kids to love as well. Excellent service and a cosy atmosphere with a roaring fire. Outside would be lovely in summertime.

This is our 3rd visit to Kazuki and I only wish we could go more often. Having lived in Japan, I have very high expectations for my Japanese. This restaurant and food raises the bar for me each time I have come here. We recently dined at Wasabi (Noosa), which has 2 hats. I say Kazuki's deserves another 2 hats... More

DH treated me to an early Mother's Day lunch as we dislike crowds. I'm so happy we chose this marvelous restaurant, accolades richly deserved. First I had the bug dumplings, served in a spectacular foam, scrumptious. For the main I chose the rockling with soft-shell crab, served over squid ink pasta ribbons in an aromatic Thai broth. Rich flavors prevail... More

Words rarely fail me. I have dined in fine Japanese restaurants all across the world. Including Kyoto, Tokyo and rural Japan. I have rarely experienced such sensitive, respectful and insightful Japanese cuisine. Described as a Japanese, international dialogue, it's a no chop sticks affair with so much soul it really doesn't matter. Daylesford is a special part of our life,... More

We had the degustation menu with matched wines/sake on a Saturday night and really found every course enjoyable. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the whole evening was very relaxed. Highly recommended.
