The smoked trout and goats cheese pizza was delicious. The option of Gluten free bases was great as I don't get to eat pizza very often. Yummy cakes and muffins [flourless orange and poppyseed for me] Service was prompt but could have come with a smile and the decor was not to our liking, but interesting.

Yesterday was my second time eating at this restaurant. Took some friends here who were visiting from overseas and came here yesterday on Australia Day for a late lunch at around 3.15 in the afternoon. Staff here were extremely friendly and welcoming. We missed the lunch menu so only had pizzas and a cold platter to choose from so ended... More

We have been here a few times for a coffee, and sometimes food, but its just got to the stage where the terrible attitudes of some of the staff, and the sometimes inedible food full of oil...think pasta, is too much. And at high prices that would see it go broke in a week if it was in Windsor or... More

Just dropped in because of the good vibe and the massive pizza oven. It's a foodie town in country Victoria and expectations were high. In a very cheerful and laid-back district, this café seemed to have staff to match. The waitress was genuinely happy and having a good day (we are from Sydney--say no more). The menu was adventurous and... More

Wow... What a terrible experience all round!! Massive thumbs down to staff... Me and my partner recently went for breakfast and thought we were in for a treat as the place looked busy so thought it must be a popular spot. By god were we wrong! Staff looked like they didn't want to be there and definitely added to the... More

Staying at the Frangos was a pleasure. Jimmys bar was great for breakfast, and just as good for drinks. When they explained that Sunday night was only in cafe Koukla we were happy and full of expectation. Sadly it just didn't do it. Kouklos is relaxed ... Perhaps too much. The food was good...I'm not sure it was award winning,... More

Called in to this café for the first time during our last visit to Daylesford. This place is always busy so we were keen to give it a try. After waiting for too long at the counter to request a table, we decided to take a seat out the front. We gave our drink orders and said we were still... More

I very much wish Cafe Koukla would pay serious attention to the large numbers of reviews all saying the same thing regarding the service. The breakfast we recently had there was excellent, the setting was nice, but unfortunately the service was abysmal. And as many other reviews specify, it is not by any means the entire wait staff that is... More
