My partner and I were looking for a nice cosy cafe to spend our last few hours in Daylesford before we head off back to Melbourne. It's difficult to put my finger on why I didn't 'love' this place (it may have been because I had read some negative reviews already) but something just wasn't quite right for me. We... More

There was a complimentary breakfast at Cafe KouKla with our room at FrangosAndFrangos, and when we arrived it was like entering a Bohemian breakfast kitchen. The staff were welcoming, and the food was just right to start the day; I only needed a light lunch to keep my energy up.

We chose a lamb sausage and feta pizza as well as the prosciutto, pear, rocket and Gorgonzola pizza to share amongst 4 people. A good choice and we were all happy . The service was fast and friendly. We had room left for coffee and dessert and chose the churros which were dust in cinnamon sugar and served with melted... More

Warm and inviting on a chilly winter day. The friendly staff greeted us at the door welcoming us in to their cosy cafe. We came for the pizzas and they were delicious. Ordering the lamb sausage with fetta & the pumpkin & spinach. The pizza bases were to die for! Best Ive had(except for 400 Gradi) Fresh & punchy flavours.... More

We took a trip to Daylesford on the weekend for the first time to see what the hype was all about. I must admit it was fabulous we were undecided what we wanted to eat with such a large variety so we chose Cafe Koukla for lunch and we were blown away by the Quality of the food. The Sharing Plate... At the peak of Vincent Street in Daylesford is a mainstay cafe in this hybrid town. Koukla attracts locals and tourists alike, eand earns approval from all who frequent. Weekday mornings are buzzing with pre-work coffee regulars, local small business owners and committee members taking meetings: all juxtaposing with the relaxed tourists tucking into bacon and eggs, or my favourite,... We are locals and just love breakfast at Café KouKla on a weekend. Great vibes, big open fire in the winter and FAB coffee (and they make it real HOT if you ask...for those of us that like it that way!). Have had pizza there too and that is delish. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is jumpin on... More

Excellent pizza - I had the artichoke, broccoli, asparagus, green pea and goat's cheese option. A few good options for vegetarians, including an heirloom tomato bruschetta. Warm and friendly interior with attentive staff.

I've been a few times, coffee can be either fast or a very long wait. Food is incredibly overpriced and nothing special. Good for a coffee when they're not to hectic, that's about it.
