Super Soup!

We visited KouKla for a quick lunch, and we're thrilled to find they serve wine....that's the sort of Cafe we like :) Soup was pumpkin and carrot, good sized portion, yummy sourdough bread on the side, fire toasted with oil on I believe, delicious. We enjoyed a glass of wine each, both perfectly... read more

Koukla Cafe is on the corner of an artistically and interesting building that is also a boutique hotel and Jimmy's Bar. It is bizarre business practice to invest money creating a stunning building to be run by rude, indifferent staff. As many have commented, waiting for ages to get your order when often few customers is not acceptable. On asking... More

We were very hungry having come off the train and bus from Melbourne so we thought this place looked ok. We ordered the soup of the day and an omelette, the café was not that busy at the time. Forty minutes later still no food. We were sitting next to the kitchen area and in the whole 40 minutes the... More

We shared a pizza for dinner at KouKla. The indoor atmosphere is pretty ordinary but the GF pizza was one of the best we have found anywhere. Good value for a light meal.

We were quite impressed with this cute friendly cafe. We were amazed by the waiter who was extremely friendly and helpful and even suggested of things to do in the region.( above and beyond). My partners pulled pork turkish roll was succulent and tasty while my cannelloni which was simple and amazing.

My husband and me had to wait for at least 40 minutes or longer for a coffee and when it finally come to the table it looked like a volcano had just exploded. It was bitter and tasted like burnt milk.... Sit outside if the weather is suitable, and watch Daylesford come to life, sort of. Try the sweetcorn pancake.

coffee was good. too many flies (but that just seems to be the thing in Daylesford - they are in all the restaurants ) - breakfast was great heaps of choice and they are happy to exchange (menu said guacamole but I asked to swap to plain avocado and the did it without a problem)

Great service. The squid and pasta were a little salty for our liking however we still very much enjoyed our meal. Washed down with local craft beer and sparkling wine.
