Very extravagant decor that looks terrific from the outside looking in. Six of us went there for breakfast last Saturday. We had a cup of coffee to start but the waitress was so unpleasant we left and went elsewhere for breakfast. She had a face like a sour lemon and a demeanour to match. Very out of character with all... More

We went to have breakfast on Saturday 13th September and encountered THE most offensive service. The waitress who showed us to our table was lovely and welcoming but then the dark cloud took our coffee order and stood behind half our table so we could not see her and walked off before we had all ordered. She absolutely should not be working... Despite the fact that we arrived late in the day this cafe had some excellent wood fire pizza and mezze platters on offer. The also had a great vodka cranberry on the menu which was delicious and refreshing. The staff were excellent and prices pretty good. We will be back.

Enjoyed brunch here on a girls weekend. Food was delicious, the waitress despite clearly being stressed due to the line for take away coffees, was lovely, and we were happy to wait a little longer than necessary to order. However upon paying the girl behind the counter was utterly rude and obnoxious. Found it impossible that she had to split... More

Nice to see some happy faces greet us as we walked in. Menu was small but the food was very nice. Staff we're very friendly. The coffee was great. A very nice little cafe. Would go again.

Was once a favourite of ours but not any longer. Arrived at 8.30pm on a Friday night which seemed inconvenient to the staff, evident by exaggerated consultations of the wristwatch. Ordered pizzas which were just OK. When we went to pay we didn't see the notice on the counter which indicated we were standing in the wrong spot for payment... More

Had breakfast at this cafe with a number of friends. My wife had Meusli and I had the Red Onions which consisted of eggs, red onion, potatoe. sausage, etc. and baked. We both agreed our meals were tastey, good size serving and reasonably priced. Coffee was also good as was the service.

This used to be an icon in the local scene. Frangos always delivered but the last 2 times I've been to Koukla, there have been no staff. One person on the machine and one person serving and waiting tables. Took forever to get served. Everything felt rushed. Not the lazy relaxing place to enjoy a long lingering lunch like it... More

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat, wood fired pizza was nice and light, latte and tea were both very good too, would definitely return next time we're passing through Daylesford!

Staying at Hotel Frangos, we had complimentary breakfast at Cafe KouKla. Good coffee, good service although a little slow on the first day. Excellent corn cakes and bacon, yum. Make sure, in winter, you get a table well away from the door as there was a cold gust of wind inside every time the door opened and closed, which on... More
