Staying at Hotel Frangos, we had complimentary breakfast at Cafe KouKla. Good coffee, good service although a little slow on the first day. Excellent corn cakes and bacon, yum. Make sure, in winter, you get a table well away from the door as there was a cold gust of wind inside every time the door opened and closed, which on... More

We have been here before and remembered it for great food and personable service. The dinner was average although they charge top dollars. The pizza might be the best in town but not what it used to be. The service was slow and unenthusiastic. We felt like we had interrupted their evening. Next morning the breakfast took 45 minutes to... More

We've eaten there before and enjoyed it immensely. Went just for a coffee this time around and it was "Just." Will go somewhere different next time.

Very cool little spot, rather rustic with its unpolished floorboards and long timber tables that everyone seems to share. I sat by the fire and ordered a yummy sage, mushroom, caramalised onion and mozzarella pizza with a glass of red. Staff are friendly.

Sunday afternoon. Wasn't too busy. Ordered fruit toast and toasted ham, cheese and tomato sandwich. After 45 mins my husband asked waitress how long it might be. She checked and told us 2 secs. My fruit toast came out pretty quick but was eaten before hubby's 'meal' came out. When it came it was not toasted, not hot and not... More

We called in late Sunday afternoon whilst visiting Daylesford, just for a couple of drinks and were absolutely delighted with this establishment. It was warm, extremely beautifully furnished yet had a real relaxed feel about it. We didn't get time to eat but the menu looked very interesting and friends who did eat there were very pleased with their meal.... More

The food was ok but this place does not have much atmosphere. Not sure why. The cleanliness was not up to standard. Prices were reasonable. Wouldn't visit again.

Ate here 3 times in 24 hours. The best fire, great coffee and attentive service. The menu offers a wide range and the free wifi is an added incentive on cold winter days.

We always stop here on a visit to Dayelsford. Great woodfired pizzas (mushroom is amazing!) and exceptional coffee. Service is always friendly and if you get a seat near the fireplace you will be in heaven. It's a very casual place, with a couple of large communal table as well as smaller ones. Wine list is pretty small but good... More

How they can make scallops taste so good so far from the ocean is beyond me, and we arrived right at the end of service. This earthy and eclectic spare is sure to draw you in.
