Standard Chef and Brewer Pub Menu. Little fresh vegetable content, and the chicken was a little dry.

Staying at the Premier Inn next door. Usually the pubs associated with Premier Inn are good to excellent. This pub is the worst we have come across. Dirty. The welcome sign looks as though its stood in the garden for six months, overall grimy looking pub. Breakfast - standard Premier inn but layout poor- cant get to the breakfast for... More

I ordered my steak medium-to-well done, and the first time it arrived it was blue. I sent it back and the second time they'd managed to incinerate the outside but it was still rare inside. The onion rings were, again, charred. At least they couldn't get the salad wrong. Breakfast the following morning, the sausages were still raw inside and... More

As you'd expect from this chain, all the food was good and at a good price. We had burgers that were all great with chips. The drinks were reasonable as well. This is not the cheapest pub for either food and drink, but I am sure that you will have exactly the same quality each time which I prefer to... More

We stayed in the Premier Inn next door, booked a table for the first night, shown to our table and left........eventually my husband went to the bar ordered drinks and asked if we had to order our own food! We were then shown the menu by a very unsmiling waitress, the food when it came was good and hot. The... More

We were staying at the next door Premier Inn and they arranged a booking for our first evening for 7.15. It was fathers day and of course they were busy but having taken us to our table they left us there unattended and with no offer of drinks or menu. After 15 or 20 minutes of no-one coming near us... This is a very laid back style restaurant in the mould of its chain. Food is excellent and not pricey!! Would eat there more often except that the Shipley Bridge is nearer!!

Nothing good to say about this pub. We often stay at the Premier travel Inn next door & we don't really want to drive to find a meal, we have unfortunately tried this pub a few times (only as a captive audience). It has become worse this year -which we didn't believe possible. The pub itself is tired and unwelcoming.... More

Four weeks ago we went for Friday lunch; hey is the Pope a Catholic? Do bears delicate in the woods? Fish and Chips going to be a big menu item? OK so we order fish and chips only to be told that they'd run out of chips. the delivery lorry had broken down! I mean there are two supermarkets close... More

The main reason this pub fails is due to lack of staff. Also the incompetance of some of the staff that are there. You have to go there on a wing and a prayer. Therefore it is unfortunate that you can't afford to rely on taking other people there or celebrating an occasion. At the end of the day it... More
