We had one drink each real ale £8.00 found the pub expensive for drinks the menu looked good . The ppub its self was olde worldly at the front and not at the back the carpet didn't match the interior at all. There was a very friendly stand in manager couple from Yorkshire .On the other table they were talking... More

The Plough has been my local for some time now and the cask beer was usually the best (along with the newly opened Mill Brewery) in Towcester. However, in the last 3 weeks since the new temp managers have been in its taken a real dive. last Saturday I bought a pint of Youngs - it was undrinkable. I the... More

Not to my tastes, bit local, bit small and weird vibe to the place. lots of old drinkers in there. Didn't stop to eat so cant say anything on that. Staff were friendly.

I've noticed that reviewers are getting this pub (which has closed now) mixed up with The Plough Inn in Shutlanger. Please ensure you upload correct pics as the two venues are not related in any way. Thanks.

Convenient as on the High Street. It can get very busy, but has a good atmosphere. Large, reasonably priced menu, but ensure that you get what you ordered! I ordered a Jacket Potato with Prawns in a Marie Rose Sauce....which turned out as Prawns in a garlic sauce....which was neither appetising or what I wanted. When I pointed this out... More

Whenever we visit the Silverstone Circuit, we make a point of calling here. Warm atmosphere with Friendly regulars. The Beers are excellent and well served by "Mine Host". We intended to eat following the excellent reports on this site. Monday, is the Kitchens night off, so we will return again, a cracking Pub.

We were travelling through Towcester and popped into The Plough because we parked outside! The greeting by the landlord was very warm and we ordered off the lunchtime specials board. It was excellent food at a very reasonable price. A lot of landlords of modern, chain pubs could take a lesson from the goodwill created by the welcome given to... More

My wife & I called in here a few times during a recent stay in the area, not only was the landlord very jovial & welcoming the same can be said of the local clientele. The bar is very clean, with a traditional British pub feel with loads of wood everywhere. In addition & very importantly the beer is great... More
