We visited on Friday 29th August - four adults. Food was all home cooked. Great quality, good sized portions, friendly service. Other reviewers have noted that place could benefit from a bit of refurbishment, but it was clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money too.

We had a lovely meal and good wine having the house wine red. Very good value and the staff could not be more helpful. Excellent overall.

Typically cheaper than jee ja jees, on the same square in Kegworth. Less fancy decor and service but food better. Both restaurants have pluses, I prefer to go here with my family.

we have been looking forward to trying this restaurant for a very long time, finally got round to do so. We booked our table a couple of days beforehand, arrived to a complete empty restaurant at 8pm on a Friday night, it was a beautiful summers evening so everyone may well have opted for bbq or beer gardens. However, I... More

The food was absolutely gorgeous. We had to wait a while because all the food was cooked to order, but it was worth the wait. While we were waiting we had to have a drink or 3 or was it 5 or 6. We had a great afternoon.

Sunday lunch 6 adults 1 child. Pre drinks area could be spruced up a bit but lovely big open dining room nice decor with big tables, not cramped up like many venues. Staff well dressed always nice to see, (no scruffy jeans and trainers here) and well mannered. Food was great value £12.50 for a 3 course, £7 per child.... More

As we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a sign directing us to the bar, just make sure you follow this directive or you will be told off by the owner! The decor is rather dated, in fact the whole experience including the food seems to have been locked in a time warp back to the 1970's. We went... More

Based on very good reviews we decided to go for an evening meal at The Cottage, and unfortunately we don't seem to have gone to the same restaurant as everyone else. outside very attractive, inside awful. Dark, dingy and in desperate need of a complete decoration, this really was uncomfortable for me. I would never go here for a second visit.... More
