Gastro delight!

As we were staying in the local area, we chose to dine at the Plough Inn based on reviews and we were not dissapointed! The building had an olde worlde charm. The atmosphere was cosy. We live locally but have not been for some time due to its poor reputation. The food was overpriced ,over cooked, and very underwhelming !

The food was fantastic, we had a brilliant time in beautiful surroundings. The manager was not the most polite person I have experienced the rest of the staff were nice however. Overall a good night was had.

Good quality local food, done well. A wide range of traditional British dishes nicely executed. Good portion sizes too.

two nights excellent stay at The Plough. Stayed opposite the courtyard in a very comfortable suite. The service and food both nights was top notch. Certainly more expensive than other pubs but the standard merits this. We were lucky with the weather and took advantage of sitting in all the outside areas. Very well maintained grounds and pub. Loved everything.... More

Met some friends in the Plough Inn for a light lunch. There was a good selection of sandwiches and snacks, we all chose different items and everything looked good, my prawn sandwich certainly was. The serving staff were helpful and friendly. We ate in the garden which was quiet and tucked away from the road. Would recommend the Plough as... More

We have visited several times and loved it here, good food, service and location. But it's gone downhill. Not sure why the owners have let standards slip, but the food and service aren't as good as they used to be. Won't be hurrying back.

We hadn't been to this pub for many years but decided to try it after walking out of a very popular but horrendous 'carvery pub'. The minute we walked in, we felt we had made the right choice. The decor is a lovely mix of country pub and modern. There was a huge log fire roaring and we managed to... More

The Plough is a wonderful place for us to have on the doorstep. The food is incredible! Equal to many top notch restaurants I have eaten at in the past. There is always an extensive menu with something to suit everyone but on a Sunday it excels itself. This visit I had duck and my husband pork, both of which... More
