I've come here for lunch on quite a few occasions over the years. It is not particularly big and is generally busy at lunchtime so you might have to wait to get a table. The food and service are excellent. One wall is a window overlooking the river with a large bird table just outside. A huge variety of small... More

As in the title it's great. Scones to die for. Friendly staff, great bird table for watching the antics of both birds and squirrels while you annoy your food etc. The shops great too, 'try before you buy' selection of oils and vinegars from around the world, as well as other deli foods etc.

I called in here for afternoon tea with my Daughter. The cafe was still very busy with only 1 free table but fortunately for us the table was right by the window. The view down to the river is lovely and the enormous array of bird feeders on a huge wooden platform was attracting a large number of birds and... More

Someone had recommended this place to us and we were not disappointed. As tea room and bird lovers, it satisfied our tastes in both regards. Although it was busy, the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was great. We were sat in the middle of the cafe and had good views of the birds but when we had... More

We've been here before so knew what to expect. From the outside the building is a green corrugated tin shed, and you could easily pass it by. However, if you should choose to enter you are greeted by a cosy shop selling all manner of tasty treats, to take away after your visit. Try sampling some of the delicious olive... More

Good food, efficient service and a lovely view over a massive bird table and the river. Not cheap, but worth it. Avoid at peak times although the queue is quite quick moving. I love this place... very relaxing..

We had heard good things about this café if you are into watching birds so we went to give it a try. Firstly the people are really friendly and helpful, and the shop has some unusual goods, well worth a wander round. Sadly the café doesn't seem to cater well for vegetarians. I fancied a sandwich but there weren't any... More

This lovely shop/garden centre/ deli and cafe is excellent. Everything is homemade and the staff are welcoming and friendly. The bird feeders right outside the window are a real treat and you will always be rewarded with viewing a great variety of winged visitors. They also sell a vast array of china mugs which have provided many apt gifts for... More
