We have heard that this place was good so we went along to survey and to suss it out. The room is open plan with tables placed close together, so be warned this is more of a 'people watching' experience than a 'quiet candlelit dinner for two' experience. The food was VERY tasty and the service was quick. OK Chicken... More

This is notorious in Glossop as the best restaurant for Chinese and it's been around long enough. Never had a bad meal here (though I do always order the same). Can't says it's the best I've ever had, but for a spontaneous meal locally, it's ideal.

As part of our valentines weekend we visited Kwei Ping and it's still the best quality Chinese restaurant I have ever visited, for nearly ten years I have visited at least once or twice a year but I would love be there every week if I lived local, it's nothing like an all you can eat where the food is... As a family we like Chinese food very much and this restaurant was recommended by the staff at the Travel Lodge just down the road. Not a lot to say really other than the surroundings, service, food and value was all excellent. We all left with full tummies and a fairly full wallet thanks to the reasonable pricing... All in... Don't get me wrong - the food here has always been good but we gradually noticed he prices were creeping further and further upwards. Nothing dramatic but 20p here and 20p there not once but 2 or 3 times a year. When you tend to have the same things - like our family used to do - it became quite... More

I have been going to the Kwei Ping for I don't know how long... But I do remember taking my 2 week old Freya, now 23, in her car seat for our first post baby meal out. The Chinese cuisine is really delicious and standards have been consistent for years. Being a chillie freak, I am presented with chillie oil,... More

We have been going to this restaurant for over 20 years. Linda and her staff always look after us and their food never let's them down especially their Peking soup. It's the best.

I used to dine at the Kwei when I lived in England nearly 10 years ago, when they had a little place on the high street. Whenever I return to the UK it is always on my list of 'must-do's' before returning home. They now have a marvellous restaurant that maintains the same standards of service, quality and enjoyment as... More
