Quick service. Great fish and chips. Lovely mushy peas. Difficult to find though but found it via tourist information centre.

There are better fish and chip shops in the area however it's the only one in castleton. Chips are a bit soggy and the fish cakes are thin and over cooked

This chippy isn't open all the time and sometimes when you need a snack it isn't available, but when it is, it's ok, you can sit down outside to eat your chips, but best to walk round and love this gorgeous village.

We had a trip down Giants Hole cave and followed this up with a bit of geo-caching around Mam Tor - time for some snap! Two o'clock on a Sunday afternoon, still open and the waft of fresh frying - chip butties, sausage and chips and a fish and chips - lovely! Fresh and crisp. Perhaps too much 'butter' on... More

We had fish and chips which were lovely and fresh. There was plenty for one person. The family enjoyed them. The fish was skinless and priced at £4.10 and the chips £1.50. A small peas was 80p. Did not have anything else. The only downside is that they are only open Saturday and Sunday 12 -5pm. I hope this review... More

We had fish & chips for lunch which we were really looking forward to but couldn't get over the small portions. Cod and chips were £5.10 which we thought were very expensive considering the small portion size. The fish tasted okay shame there wasn't much of it and there was nothing special about the chips. A good location with a... More

In all the years we have run the fish and chip shop I have never heard our portions are small mentioned even once, you have neglected to mention that for a few pence more we offer a large portion!!! On the day you visited you would have seen numerous customers leaving the shop with their produce, if you thought the... More
