Flying from East Midlands airport the following day so decided to stay at an hotel needed somewhere close to eat so booked this place only being a 5 min bus ride away. The on-line pictures make this place look bigger then it is although this didn't matter because it was very quiet when we visited (Friday night) only 3 tables... More

Called in here after a driving experience at Donnington Park. It was recommended by someone working at the track. We were so hungry we didn't take much in of the outside. The dining room was pleasant enough but the service was terrible. It was quiet but still took 50 minutes to turn out a gnocchi dish and the Parmigiana. My... More

A few years ago this place was very good and had a really good reputation. We decided to go back and were not impressed. Below average and way too expensive for the quality. When you read the menu it does sound nice. The food just isn't up to the standard they're charging. Very plain and very boring under seasoned and... More

Having seen some of the recent reviews was a little put off but decided to give it a go. New chef apparently and the food was sublime - pate made fresh on order and anti pasta to start - never tasted pate so good - my partner not quite so excited by his main as I was mine which was... More

We had visited this pub 7 years ago for our first date and were impressed, but on our recent visit, we had a very different experience. There was nothing overtly bad but also nothing overtly good either. The service was underwhelming, no smiles or rapport from the waitress. Our meal was very unexciting and lacked any mediterranean flair for the... More

Yes i understand that we were attending Download Festival and may not have been dressed all that respectable but we were still paying customers and may I add the prices are not cheap! There were about 14 us who all sat down and had food, The table had been... More

We were a group of 8 eating here in June on business. The prices are not cheap by any means (£27 steak, £20 kebabs) so was a little perturbed by the price but figured the quality would be reflected. Sadly, this wasn't the case at all. One of the starters that were served (mushrooms with a cheese topping I think)... More

Food was pleasant enough. The pub had no bitter and no rose wine when we visited. Drinks always seemed to cost the same regardless of whether we had a pint of lager shandy or a pint of Guniness. Their stocking system needs sorting out.

Visited recently for lunch with work colleagues. Good selection of lunch time food from "lite bites" to more substantial meals. Despite being a party of 12, we were served very quickly, politely and efficiently. Nice informal & relaxed atmosphere for all ages. Prices reasonable and reflected the quality of food being served. Nice decor and good quality of cleanliness. Highly... More
