First time we have been in since the re-opening, heard a lot about them and We were not disappointed ! Food without a doubt was brilliant and the service 10 out of 10! The waiters were very attentive without being intrusive! Especially the slick waiter with the stubble beard who goes by the name maj (forgive me if I'm wrong)... More

Having been closed for over a year , it was a long anticipated reopening - we were not fans before but the refurb is a great job and the food and service were brilliant.

We've tried the Rose of Bengal twice now since it reopened as we always enjoyed eating here, unfortunately despite the decor now being lovely and creating a modern environment to eat in, the standard of food is no where near what it was. First try my partners could be seen as average, mine poor. It was a madras with a... More

Sorry to hear your visits have not gone well. We pride ourselves on the quality of our food and can assure the dish your partner had, the Bengal Labra, was cooked fresh on order. Our dishes are made to order, not precooked. He was offered a replacement or something else off the menu but it seemed he didn't want anything... More

After a long wait its finally re-opened after a re-furb, and its worth the wait it looks fab, new menu with a lot of new things on it and the food is fantastic, the people are so friendly and helpful without being in your face. Its the best Indian for miles and I would recommend it to everyone.

Welcome back to the Rose of Bengals owner and staff. Went in early (6.30ish) a couple of weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised that the standard of food and value for money are still superb.Best curry house for miles. Will be back soon after our holiday. Love this restaurant.

Had us worried as the closure for refurbishment was much longer than anticipated but they're back, better than ever. Lovely decor and the food is even better than before, if that's possible. There are 2 other Indian restaurants in the village, which we've tried during the closure but Rose of Bengal is by far the best in our opinion.

Booked a late meal,10:00 to be precise. Not an issue. Meal was absolutely fantastic. The starters, chicken liver and mustard lamb were gorgeous. The main course was also of a high quality. This is the best place in Castle Donington.
