Good value and tasty produce. Love the mini fish and chips with curry sauce. The fish batter was excellent and the chips were perfect. The curry sauce is the best I've tasted locally.

This does what it says on the can, very nice fish and chips, to eat in or take away. The problem with fish and chip shops is that if they are good there isn't that much to say. The fish is good, the chips are good, the mushy peas are good, and there is sufficient salt and pepper available. What... More

After a day out at Market Rasen races my partner and myself walked to the town centre to find a restaurant. We had no luck as the few restaurants that were open were all fully booked. So we had heard rave reviews about this fish bar and decided to give it a try as they had seating inside as well... More

By far the best fish n chip shop ever. Good value and good portions. Well done and keep up the gd work. Will continue getting my fish and chips from there. Even the small fish is big enough for me

Dropped in a few times on the way back from the pub ! Staff friendly and attentive, fish and chips cooked really well, not too greasy. Always had a good size portion and freshly cooked. Halfway up King Street, you can't miss it! No complaints, definitely recommend this plaice!

We discovered this restaurant many years ago on the main street in Belper, and thought it worth a try. Initially, I have to say, we were tempted by the 'pensioner offer' of fish, chips, peas (or beans, curry etc) bread and butter and a mug of tea for well under £5. We've been going back ever since. Yes, its a... More

Real cod with large moist white flaky flesh. Delicious. The chips dry and crispy, and very reasonably priced. All the staff are happy and friendly and look like they enjoy working here. Always a pleasure visiting. I don't know what Melanie2306 is complaining about, maybe she works at George's, which isn't anywhere as good as here!

After reading the reviews and having an amazing meal at Georges we thought we'd see what all the raving is about !! We'll let me tell you , you might get big portions but you certainly don't get quality !! This is a bog standard greasy back street chippy , nothing to sing about at all . If you like... More
