We've recently moved to the Belper area so have been working our way around the local pubs, restaurants etc to work out our favourites and this will be one of them. Booked into the restaurant as we turned up the previous week to find it was fully booked on a Friday night and we had a lovely meal My wife... More

This is a lovely old pub and restuarant tucked away above the historic mill town of Belper. Its changed hands a number of times during the past decade and even been closed for some periods. But under new owners for some 12 months its definately back to the halcyon days of the Mid 90's. Great food, well presented, good portions... More

We eat here fairly regularly, sometimes in the a la carte restaurant, mostly in the bar. The meal is always really good , the staff very professional and the host very welcoming. Give it a try you will not be disappointed

Lovely food, grumpy host, all the other staff very friendly went that extra mile to help. Lovely fresh food, quick service. Limited menu, not too much appeal for younger dinners. Salted caramel cheesecake divine.

This was our first time at this restaurant and will definitely be our last. Our evening started as FoodieFred's did with a 'greeting' from an disinterested, abrupt man. There was no atmosphere to speak of and the tables were far too close to each other and felt cluttered. For our starters we ordered avocado, tomato and mozzarella salad which turned... More

We recently visited with some friends for a meal at night. On entering we were "greeted", if that is the right word by a quite abrupt chap. After ordering drinks we were literally thrown menus and 'instructed' to go and "...sit at any table for four, the restaurant is down there..." We all wondered what we were in for after... More

Upon arrival it was lovely to have a drink by a tall fired heater - lovely and romantic. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lacking a bit though unfortunately. Tables quite close together, lighting too bright. However, the food was lovely, we had the lamb and it was plentiful and delicious. Not cheap but it is good quality. Service was... More

Our first visit to the Bluebell Inn and it will definitely not be the last. Warmly welcomed on arrival by very friendly member of staff behind the bar. Ordered drinks, presented with menus and then shown to our table in the beautifully decorated and appointed restaurant. Decided on the three course Sunday lunch, three of the party had roast lamb... Booked for an early evening meal a couple of weeks ago. Food was not that good and we felt rushed. As soon as we finished our starters the main was on the table. My wifes pork was tough and overcooked and my main was average. The pile of disused furniture in the passageway next to the table was an unwanted... More

We were staying in Belper, and drove out to find Dinner after a finding a few pubs that really were not for us, we came across the Bluebell at Farnah Green.
