My wife and I have been visiting George's for many years and enjoy there the best fish and chips either of us have eaten anywhere (including Harry Ramsden's original in Guiseley). The service is attentive and the bread and butter is to be avoided unless you like processed bread. Unfortunately, it has become crowded in recent years so it is... More

This is a great Fish and Chip restaurant with beautiful fresh white fish and nicely cooked chips. The environment is typical of and old fashioned fish and chip restaurant ... coming from Hull ... fish is a key part of our diet!

We go to Georges quite regularly and they really do the best ever fish and chips and pies and sausages etcetera etcetera. Well priced and withe the most amazing loyalty card that gives you 10p for every pound you spend. Well worth popping in if you are passing, well worth making it your local if you live near one.

While the competition is high, George's does very well, particularly at the restaurant at Woodlinkin; but keep with the fish and chips, my experience of the pie was not so good - what's the problem with serving Pukka Pies like everyone else?

Whether you use the restaurant or take away service the food is always excellent. They cook to order, so its always fresh. I never eat fish and chips from anywhere else as they just cannot match this standard.

I'd not had George's for a long time and my recent visit was a long time coming. Really really enjoyed George's fish & chips. Didn't eat in the restaurant though, took them home instead. As good as I always remembered!
