We visit this cafe on a regular basis due to luckily living within walking distance. The food is always excellent from the sandwiches to the breakfasts. A recent previous reviewer struggles with the concept of brown diamond shape bread. It's fresh and lovely. Perhaps they can only cope with a slice of warburtons. Very friendly staff and the option to... More

Walked into Ashbourne from the Tissington trail on a lovely sunny afternoon and sat outside Bramalls for lunch-4adults and a child-adults ordered sandwiches and were offered a choice of breads, we chose rustic artisan brown bread. When the order arrived we were given a rustic cob in the shape of a diamond- when I queried it with the waitress, I was... Went for a lunch on Sunday. Very pleasant, good service and all hand-made food. Wanted to up load the picture I took of all the yummy cakes, but can't work out how to do it. Sorry. Great selection though and would really recommend the ginger and lemon cheesecake.

A lovely tea room and Deli that offer great food in a lovely wee market town. Spent a pleasant afternoon at this lovely establishment watching the world go by. My Partner had a selection from the Deli and I had a ploughman's both of which could of easily fed 4 rather then just the 2 of us. :-) The staff... More

I've eaten here twice now and on both visits the food has been nothing short of superb. On my first visit I had a chicken, chorizo and chickpea stew that was out of this world. Most recently I had a pea risotto with salmon fillet which was also extremely good - especially for just £8.95. The cake selection is staggering... More

We visited Ashbourne last Sunday, and found this nice cafe for lunch. There was a really good selection to choose from the specials board and the Sunday menu. We had a chicken and ham pie, and a roast salmon risotto. Both were very tasty and filling. The cafe had a nice choice of cakes for dessert too. The lime and... More

Not a bad cafe but staff not the friendliest. Seem too busy rushing around to notice the customers - a smile would help even if you're busy! Food was good . Interesting if you get a table near the kitchen annexe , not good to lol in through an open door and wasn't impressed with cleanliness of drink making .

Dont bother going just before closing time. Because it appears they won't bother much either. We asked if we too late 15 minutes to closing to get brusque responce of not for drinks, despite loads of cake on display. Drinks service was no better and there was powder still in the base of the mocca. It does say on the... More

A lovely modern cafe in Ashbourne, we popped in as it seems to have a good range of gluten free options. Laura had the bacon, Brie, cranberry on granary bloomer bread. Very nice and couldn't be faulted. Ian had the gluten free sandwich mackerel with a lemon Creme fraiche, the waitress did not have a problem with me asking for... More

Not impressed :-( We went for breakfast on the Sunday of our stay in the area. The person opening up wasn't very helpful and, although advertising gluten fee, just pointed to a basket of Mrs Crimbles goodies in the window. I couldn't get a breakfast there nor anything for a picnic lunch which was gluten free. As the place is... More
