Returned to the Duncombe Arms last night for my birthdya treat. They have added a conservatory, which is a super sytlish oak and glass building. I had a lovely glass of Proseco while we chose from the menu. Rob has a pint of the Duncombe ale, which he said was very good. I had the ham hock and chicken liver... More

I went to the Duncombe Arms for lunch. I have to say it is one of the best lunches I have had on the go. As I was working in the area and been here for dinner before, I thought that I would try lunch. The pub had a large party of 9 in but that did not effect service... More

Had lunch one saturday here with my husband for my birthday. We reserved a table and as it was a beautiful day we were sat outside on the patio area which is very tastefully done. We had breads as a starter and then we both had the chicken and pasta with a side salad as a main. We shared desert... More

We visited here last summer while staying in the area, after reading an advert in a local magazine. The food was absolute perfect, as was the evening. The service was excellent but also relaxed at the same time which made us feel welcome. The restaurant is well decorated and maintained and the food and drink menu has a very good... More

Best burger I've had in years. Forget judging a chef by his steaks, it's his burgers that count. This chef has got everything spot on. All my family enjoyed there good and the service couldn't be faulted.

As a recent resident in this area I am very happy to have the Duncombe Arms as a new local. The food seems to get better and better and I would challenge anyone to find more delicious rare beef on a Sunday afternoon. On the downside the service can be very unpredictable. The young staff are very friendly but they... More

We have eaten in this restaurant several times now, the food is always excellent in terms of quality, our concerns, were regarding the actual amount of food we were given! We both had a small bowl of delicious soup, and 2 tiny slices of bread, for the main course (this was on a Sunday), we both had the roast beef,... More

Well, Anon and Spouce have been on a trip to their old stomping ground and dropped in to the "Dunc" for a spot of supper (pre-booked by the way). The decor is a surprise with a mixture of old meets contemporary with a splash of farmyard! The outside patio furniture is slightly reminiscent of a Marbella holiday but it works.... More

We met some friends for lunch, service excellent, table outside overlooking beautiful countryside. We had children with us and were a little worried we might not be too welcome but waiters were great, food just fantastic, would highly recommend.
