Quite good for a brewery pub

The staff do the best they can. Very friendly big place so plenty of space for families. Always really busy. There are good choices to be made on the menu and the staff are always eager to please. Good prices too. Six of us ate and with drinks it was less than £100.

Awesome fresh food at a great price. Fantastic choice and staff were really friendly and competent. Kids menu was well varied and desserts were massive, nice quiet location on our way to Alton Towers (Travelodge opposite). Positive enthusiastic staff on hand and the place has a relaxed professional atmosphere!!

Again it's difficult to mark as average but I wouldn't put as very good just good so I'd give it 3 and a half if I could. It's a normal kind of pub that you find in a lot of places where there is a chain. Not bad priced, not bad food. But the staff were very good and friendly... More

We were staying at the Travelodge next door and came here for dinner. Lovely gardens to sit in with play area. Staff were friendly and food arrived quickly. Food was good. We also had a full English breakfast here in the morning which was really tasty and filling. The pub had only just started doing breakfasts as the school holidays... More

Be aware if you arrive with children they will want to sit you in the family area. Now I understand most diners without kids don't want to be disturbed by wailing infants and shrill tots. However, neither do I or my son. Main was good enough, weekdays any children's main is free so the portion is scant, certainly not worth... More

on arrival staff seemed really friendly. food was freshly cooked and portion size was good, only fault i can say was that when they brought sharing platter they never brought any side plates to eat from and child's meal came and plate was extremely warm to touch

We had visited one place and shocked to find it was closed. Next we started our search which lasted 1/2 hour. We were partly round this roundabout, when there in the distance we spotted the " Stepping Stones", We decided to give our first visit. On entrance we were welcomed by a lovely staff member. Shown to our table and... More

Pleasant staff until the end when we got the impression that we had overstayed our welcome (for the avoidance of doubt this was some time before closing time) by being badgered to settle our bill and being told it needs to be settled before closing time. Still, the rest of the night was good. Important things first. The 1664 was... More

Visited the stepping stones family pub on Sunday evening July 13th, it was a wonderful evening so did not wish to stay home and cook. The food was average about what you expect for pub grub but the service was lacking. we order some wine and it was delivered to the table and just placed in the middle with the... More

This is a great restaurant/pub. Situated near the Travelodge so very convenient for meals. Also great value for money and the food was delicious! Great kids menu too.
