Great fun way to cross a river

You can have great fun crossing the river here and good place for photos. The walk up the river is lovely and well maintained.

We called in here today (28.05.15) for a evening meal, the service was average but the food was appalling, example; 1/4 chicken & chips was actually 2 mouthfuls of chicken a handful of frozen chips and 1 tablespoon of coleslaw. Another example; mixed grill, tiny portion of frozen chips, 1 tablespoon of frozen peas, half of one tomato, 2 small... More

Nice atmosphere, good and varied pub style menu, very good value, and excellent service. Starving, so had a mixed grill. Very generous plateful, but nicely cooked and well presented. Didn't feel overstuffed at the end! Would thoroughly recommend if you don't mind unfussy, wholesome pub food.

Lovely place to eat whilst staying next door in the Travelodge. Was very busy for a Friday night but service was good.

Had a lovely meal here while staying at the ttravelodge next door, staff were friendly and food was good. Only complaint was they didnt do take away coffee or breakfast - could be a profit maker there!!

Called in here on a Wednesday lunchtime. Food was good honest pub grub which was nicely presented and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and attentive. 3 of us got a nice meal and drinks for just under £26. Service was prompt and it was nice to be served and have our order taken at the table

Went there with 11 friends, booked at the last minute, no problems, friendly welcome, prompt service, all 12 meals came very close together. 2 for £10 excellent value for good straightforward pub food.

Stayed at travelodge with my daughter and came here for dinner at 8pm. Plenty of space and good menu.. Food was hot and was good value for money.. We had 2 mains for £10 which was fine. Good parking and there was a play area as well

When we walked in there were two waitresses talking to each other and ignored our entrance. Finally one come over and we asked for a table... More
