This was our visit and we were not disappointed. From the moment we walked in we were impressed. The staff are passionate and had fantastic knowledge about the menu, the food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be going again...

Visited for the first, and definitely not last, time on Saturday and had the tasting menu. We have recently been to sat bains and I think the tasting menu at the lighthouse is as good (if not better!) than his. Highlights - Parmesan risotto with the seared scallop was fantastic, belly pork and miso cod awesome and the perfect steak... More

Visited for the third time Saturday 11th with friends and it gets better each time. Service, ambience, friendly staff, great wine and SUPERB food. I cannot recommend it highly enough. A Michelin star can’t be far away and it’s going to knock Darleys off the top spot soon in the wider Derby area. Well worth a visit.

Tried this restaurant based on good reviews and we were not disappointed. Went on Saturday night and there was the bonus of excellent live music, talented singer with guitar which created a nice atmosphere. Had 5 tapas dishes between myself and my husband which was enough for us. Delicious and beautifully cooked. Friendly staff too. Will be back soon.

This is the first time I've been moved to write a review of anywhere, so that maybe gives some context? Yesterday was our 3rd visit, this time for Sunday lunch. Service, wine-choice, food, environment were all superb. Truly outstanding. Surprisingly, we were one of only two booked tables, which HAS to be about lack of awareness. I have recommended this... We travelled 130 miles knowing we had a table booked to eat here at the end of our journey. We have heard a lot about this restaurant and in particular the culinary skills of its head chef Jon Hardy and so arrived with great anticipation. The atmosphere was intimate and the service exemplary - clearly a well drilled team. Our... More

We decided on a very last minute honeymoon and was ringing around numerous restaurants to celebrate our last night in the Peak District. Luckily, the lighthouse kindly accommodated us despite being fully booked. We had the 8 course taster menu as we couldn't decide on just one dish and it was mind blowing from start to finish. The scallops and... More
