This place was great. Stubbled apon this by chance and stopped for some lunch. Food fantastic. Decor contemporary and classy. Service superb. The girls work really hard here and were on top of everything. Well done to all the staff in today Tuesday 26th Aug. Thank you Louise for you directions we found Buxton!

Visited the Bridge on Friday 15 August 2014 early evening. This was our first visit to Ashbourne. Had a couple of drinks on a very comfortable settee with some light starters as we had a meal arranged elsewhere. A female who i was told was the owner showed us around the wine bar restaurant and the bars below. It looked... More

My husband and I ate here a couple of times on our recent visit to Ashbourne. Varying groups were being served, young families, couples, senior citizens, all appeared comfortable in the pleasant surroundings. Not sure what to expect we discovered a range of areas to sit. Low settees for an informal coffee and snack, good sized dining tables with plenty... More

What a lovely find this was. Visiting Ashbourne for the day and not knowing where to eat we took a gamble on The Bridge, and are we glad we did. The atmosphere was excellent, the staff were fantastic and the meals we had were fabulous, and very reasonably priced too. Had a coffee after the meal, and a lovely touch... More

Recently ate here whilst on a weekend break. The food was reasonably priced and so were the drinks. The portions were quite large and a good choice of things to have and the service was good also. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Liked it all. Nice pub and atmosphere with some great live music. The food is good, would recommend the pizza with a really light base

From the outset The bridge seems a small friendly cafe/restaurant with a wide range of food.. How wrong was I!? From the start of our visit, we were disgusted to find the attitude and unpleasant nature of all the staff working at this establishment, both young and old. When entering the restaurant the aroma first off smelt of a dentist... More

The Bridge made a big difference to our holiday. We enjoyed two evening meals and both were brilliant value and seriously high quality food.

I spend a lot of time in Ashbourne over the summer camping and I had never considered eating at the Bridge before. We sat in the Courtyard because it was a nice day and ordered a pitcher of Pimms from the cocktail menu. The atmosphere is very relaxed and we had a lovely afternoon. Other pubs with outside areas tend... More

I was pleasantly surprised to see The Bridge had a recent menu change, as a regular customer whenever I'm in Derbyshire I was excited to see what the chefs had created. I chose the home beer battered cod and chips, the portion as always was excellent. The fish tasted fresh and was pretty much the size of a small whale.... More
