Great Sunday Lunch

We enjoyed a great carvery Sunday lunch. The staff are all super friendly. The choice of beers is excellent - and they are all very well kept. We were staying close by at Holiday Property Bond's Blore Hall and ended up going back to this super pub four times during our week's stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Okeover Arms for 2 nights and we had a great time and I'd really recommend it if you want to stay somewhere in that area of the Peak District. The rooms are nothing fancy but the bed was very comfy and tea/coffee was provided as well as toiletries and the shower was surprisingly... More

Food was a little slow but delicious when it arrived all home cooked food and very filling, the Eton mess was also fantastic. Love friendly welcome and would definitely return.

Our first visit following a recommendation from a friend. The menu and specials offered a good variety with an excellent range of smaller portions of 'proper' food suitable for children. The meals were delicious - clear plates all round! We had a lovely friendly welcome from the outset and we will certainly return.

We stopped here on the way back from Dovedale. The portion sizes were just right and we sat next to the fire, which was well needed! We would definitely return.

Stayed for a weekend with my wife, really enjoyed everything about the pub Fantastic location for walking, very helpful staff from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Good food, good beer and a really pleasant room. Thank you to all the staff and locals for making us welcome in your pub.

Recently visited HPB Blore Hall in the Peak District. On these holidays we usually split our meals half eating in restaurants and the other half self catering. The Okeover is the nearest restaurant to our accommodation so with the weather not being good for driving it was the first place we visited. It turned out to be the last as the food was... Travelling with two vegetarians over a 5 week period was sometimes a chore, but at this pub there were a couple of choices for mains. The service was prompt and polite, food was ordered at the bar and was delicious and on the generous side. The ambiance was cozy, with an open fire - just what was needed on a... More
