My family and I eat here regularly and have never been disappointed; great menu, food, service and value for money. Always busy on Sunday afternoons, so you would need to reserve a 'dining room' table.

We went in March as a family and all of the food was excellent. They always have a specials board e.g. Lamb Henry, Chicken with Asparagus or a Curry all very good. Pleasant staff and nice surroundngs.

We went as a couple for the first time on 28th march after hearing good things about the place. I had the battered chicken in sweet and sour with half n half which i was happy to be offered and my boyfriend had the gammon sausage and egg which he could sing its praises about enough; he loved it. My family and I keep going back to the Briery, we all love eating here. We are regulars now and visit most weeks, we are never disappointed. Food is homemade which is very important to me, I had freshly battered fish on my last visit......made with their own batter which was gorgeous and homemade chips. Homemade sweets are lovely too.... My husband and I visited the Briery over the weekend, our experience was excellent in every way. We thankfully booked a table as the bar and restaurant was really busy, great atmosphere. I had chicken Pate which was one of the best pate's I have tasted, then I had medallion fillet poivre, absolutely divine. My husband who is very fussy... More

Went here with friends for a catch-up meal and am in no hurry to go back. All of our mains were massively salty (to the point one of our friends ended up drinking three pints of coke), our portions of chips were tiny (bowl barely half full) and even though we were there before 6.45pm, we were charged full price...
