A refurbishment ensures the surroundings are very pleasant. I've avoided this restaurant for some months after one of the servers was very unpleasant with my daughter. We had both stayed away once before as the food had become very lack lustre but after giving it another chance today I can honestly say I was very pleased. The food was delicious... More

Went to briery on Sunday night and all I can say it was poor from start to finish! Ordered drinks and sat down waited 10 mins for some one to take our order then waited a further 25 mins for our food to arrive when it arrived the fish I had ordered was terrible chewy and batter was too hard... We had a lovely evening meal last month, the staff are friendly (albeit with a dry sense of humour) and the food is really tasty, good home cooking (style) with the portions being plentiful. We have visited many times previously but this is the first time I have left a review. Would definitely recommend and would of course visit again.

Mussels for starter, fillet steak for main course and both beautiful. Tasty and cooked just as it should be, busy place, Friendly staff, very smiley and welcoming. Good portions so never had room for pudding. We Love the briery and would highly recommend to anyone.

My family and I eat here regularly and have never been disappointed; great menu, food, service and value for money. Always busy on Sunday afternoons, so you would need to reserve a 'dining room' table.

We went in March as a family and all of the food was excellent. They always have a specials board e.g. Lamb Henry, Chicken with Asparagus or a Curry all very good. Pleasant staff and nice surroundngs.

We went as a couple for the first time on 28th march after hearing good things about the place. I had the battered chicken in sweet and sour with half n half which i was happy to be offered and my boyfriend had the gammon sausage and egg which he could sing its praises about enough; he loved it. Mine... More

My family and I keep going back to the Briery, we all love eating here. We are regulars now and visit most weeks, we are never disappointed. Food is homemade which is very important to me, I had freshly battered fish on my last visit......made with their own batter which was gorgeous and homemade chips. Homemade sweets are lovely too....
