Nice Decor and Good Food

I was craving pizza for dinner one evening in Whitehaven, and the owner of my hotel suggested caspian. The decor is attractive in a comfortable setting, and the pizza was good (although a choice of crusts would have been nice). The service, however, was uninspired. I was greeted when I arrived and... read more

Not sure why the negative view on price as they do a light menu which is excellent value. 2 of us with starter and a great litre bottle of house wine for £40.00. Food was really nice and which is why we visit regularly. I would recommend this restaurant.

This place has a great menu and does great burgers, the chilli burger is fab and it comes in two different sizes. The service is great and friendly and the prices aren't too bad either.

£60 for 2 kids meals, 2 adults meals and a garlic bread plus 4 drinks (2 alcoholic). Food was very expensive for the quality. You'd be better off eating at zest or the waterfront. We went because the Italian was full (which is fab) but wish we'd stayed at home now. Never again!

This a Whitehaven standards, Covent Garden prices restaurant. Food came late, atmosphere not great because of the settings that is too bright. Steak was not fresh but frozen. You get the idea of going to a nice restaurant but food is very poor, atmosphere not so good and staff friendly but really slow. Good selection of wines red and white.

Went for a family dinner midweek - arriving at 6pm we were the only customers. Not a good start. Order placed fairly quickly - steaks and kebabs, but still took a long time to arrive. The plates were cold, steaks overcooked and all the meat was barely warm. They even got the wrong chips with the meals as some of... More

We went for a meal as friends on a Saturday night and the experience was altogether awful. The food is overpriced and not freshly cooked. The worst part of all was that for £10 one of us was given a pizza which was clearly a cheap supermarket frozen one which they had even managed to overcook. After sending it back... More
