Fabulous three course lunch as part of a large party and the staff were incredibly helpful with my gluten allergy and provided me with a separate menu as well as ways they can alter some dishes to make allergen free. The food was fantastic! We were a party of thirteen and there were clean plates all round. Two big thumbs... More

We should have known better, but having had previous weekday lunches here we did not even consider that lunch on a Sunday could be so different - and so disappointing. Service was slow even though by the time we arrived the restaurant was beginning to empty. The Tiger prawns were tasteless on their own, but saved by the marie rose... More

Visited on the Saturday evening betwen xmas and new year as a family get together for 8. Restaurant was well set out with plenty of room and not too crowded. The meal was beautiful and well presented and the service was very good. Plenty of choice for all guests whos ages ranged from a 10 year old girl to a... More

Had a lovely meal there this week. The turkey dinner was excellent with a good variety of vegetables. The service and food quality is always of a high standard. Will be back soon

We popped in last Thursday evening at about 6-55pm. The waiter was so helpful, he said we could take advantage of the special offer which was on until 7pm. The offer was two courses for only £10. Originally we were all going to have one course, but we thought that because it's a special offer the portion size will be... More

We were in the area. Our friends live near by and took us to this restaurant for dinner. It was excellent. The staff were courteous and helpful. The food was of good quality and sufficient without being over facing. The wine was good without being pricey. Such a shame there were so few people in.

The restaurant is an excellent place for Sunday lunch. Most importantly the food is very good. Our group had beef, chicken and lamb. The portions were generous. and each was very well cooked. Huge Yorkshire puddings and a portion of veg that was not boiled to within an inch of its life. A smaller portion is available if your appetite... More

With so much choice places to return to are a rarity. Only two ales on draft but the food was excellent - apparently the sous was in the kitchen however what was served was still worthy of comment. Seabass risotto was deftly done and the beef shoulder exceptionally tasty. My wife thought the highlight was her caramalised banana cheesecake with... More

I visited the Fishermans Arms earlier today, as part of a part of 6. We all opted for roast meals, the two 9 year olds were given the option of half portions, which I think was a nice option to be given. I had lamb, which was lovely and tender, and very tasty. Accompanied by roast potatoes, a giant Yorkshire... More
