Nice surroundings, inside and outside seating. Staff are all volunteers and it is nice to support the local hospice. There is also a nice gift shop with great cards and gift ideas.

We went for lunch here after being told of the lovely food, we were not disappointed the food was excellent the service was very good the staff friendly all volunteers, they even pointed out the toys for the little one to play with whilst we waited for our food. We will be going again very soon. I had the home... More

My mum, two young daughters and myself visited the Orangery for lunch recently and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There are building works ongoing which restricted parking and took a little but away from the atmosphere. Obviously this can't be helped. I would recommend going early for lunch as it is very busy and the tables get snapped up. The menu is... More

My brother and I were treated to lunch at the Orangery café by our mother. Very tasty, great value and the service was very good and quick. The view is lovely and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed. The volunteers that run this café are all very friendly and work well together. Food nice and hot just as it should... More

Went for breakfast with my wife: bothe breakfast baps were tasty. Service was friendly albeit a bit chaotic but I gather the place is run by volunteers - so well done to the volunteer army.

I've had lunch here several times as I like buying from the hospice shops when I am in the lake district, so I try and have lunch at their HQ to support them too. This cafe is lovely, although on the outskirts of Ulverston town centre. If you don't mind a bit of a walk to be rewarded by fine... More

Went again today with family including toddlers and once more sat out on the sun terrace and had a lovely lunch. Really beautiful setting, the food was delicious all round and so, so well-priced. Staff were ever-friendly and wonderful with our fairly noisy children! Left feeling that we're lucky to have such a nice place nearby to go for lunch... More

This place has a dual bonus. It is not only located in a beautiful garden with excellent simple food whilst you are eating the beautifully prepared food, you are also contributing to the running of the Hospice.

Such a lovely cafe. Lovely food at reasonable prices. Really good to know you're helping support the hospice and the fantastic work they do. Volunteers are great.
