The Old Farmhouse is a much visit pub restaurant. Plenty of parking, lovely sun trap beer garden with heavy tables and large parasols to shade from. Inside you are greeted by a traditional flag stone floor on the upper part of the bar area and the roof is totally exposed displaying solid wooden beams. The decoration is rich in colour... More

Driving around doing odd jobs, shopping etc etc with my wife, I decided we should eat out and as the time was approaching 11.30am, we needed to collect our youngest and all 3 of would eat out. We, my partner and I found this eating place and pub on our way back from an ice cream at Roy's van at Bardsea. Glad we did, good choice of ales and a specials board, also a menu until 1730 I believe, 2 courses for £8.99 which my partner chose from, prawn cocktail followed by cod, chips and mushy peas.... My first and last visit to this very average eatery. The pub it's self is pleasant and the choice of ales very good but the food is at the top end of what you would expect to pay in a pub,but the presentation and quality is very poor indeed. I had the pulled pork which consisted of a handful of... More

We were introduced to this place by our friends a couple of months ago, thoroughly enjoyed our first visit, I had the cod Father and that's just what it was! Biggest fish I've ever had and yummy too, massive portions and fantastic value. Visited again... More

Went with some friends for a meal. On entering I ordered a large white wine off the bar man. When he brought it back just put his hand out & didn't even tell me how much so handing him £10 I was sure would cover it. We then went through to the restaurant & were seated by a young lady... More

I came all the way from Hertfordshire to try what is said to be an extremely famous hot chocolate. It was spectacular! Not only that, but my breakfast bap, which included sausage, fried egg and a rasher of bacon, was well worth the journey. All my fellow diners, aged from 7 to 82, enjoyed their meal to. The cherry on... More

Popped in during the afternoon in the week as we were visiting the area, the 2 course meal was delicious with descent size portion for the money paid for. The starter was full of flavour and different textures, as was the main course, well recommended !!
