Tasty Food, Nice Atmosphere

Some pubs can seem a bit dreary or at least not very clean. The Old Farmhouse is delightfully decorated and the food is very good. Had several meals here and they were all good. However, try the Eton Mess. It is one if the best desserts ever!

We dined here for the second time last week arriving mid afternoon...it's great that you can get a meal here at that time as most places have set hours. We weren't disappointed with our meals as they were delicious, and so was the coffee...reasonable prices too...staff were very helpful...we will definitely go again.

This was our second time here for Sunday Lunch. We had booked for 1:00 pm,and shown to our table almost at once with our drinks. We had a lovely window table, and got served after a short wait....The meal itself was quite good, lots of well cooked veg and potatoes, with lovely gravy, the only problem for me was the beef,it was a bit tough,it could... We called mid-afternoon on a lovely sunny Friday so we sat outside in the beer garden. This place always looks well maintained and clean and tidy , the staff are friendly and the service is very good . We both had burger meals off the main menu and they were excellent and certainly "filled a corner" , it was another... More

Arrived to a pleasant atmosphere in what can be classed as pub/rest'nt, good selection on menu. Orders taken promptly and not a long wait until food arrived. Food is of good quality and portions of decent size and vegetables fresh. One of our party became ill and went home just as the food arrived, the staff boxed up the meal... More

Walked down here on a Saturday, busy and friendly environment. Staff were rely helpful. Mixed platter to share was yummy, ribs, chicken, fish and flat bread. I had ribeye which was airtle fatty but I was not surprised considering the cut. Cooked to perfection. The better half had gammon which he said was good. Staff and kitchen were really accommodating... More

Went Yesterday as we was told about this PUB. We was on our way back from family in Barrow In Furness We got there the place was very busy which is good for the owners but the way we was served etc was nothing more than a shambles. We asked if there was any particular tables we needed to sit... More

we could not get a seat in the restaurant and tried to dine in the bar. The only two empty proper tables were within stabbing distance of the central pool table. Got two cramped high up stools next to the noise slot machine and had a drink. The menu was so expensive we called it a day and left.

An excellent menu choice although portion sizes are huge. Quality of good is great and value for money is excellent. Service good. Looks like it's been newly refurbed. Pool table and TV for the sports people but a good separate restaurant for those that don't want this. Highly recommended.
