We were visiting family in the area who suggested this pub for a meal on a Tuesday evening. 7 of us had an excellent evening, plenty of selection of drinks, a delicious meal with the option to eat healthily or not so - ie. deep fried mars bar as a dessert! and a huge range of choice. Service was speedy... More

We are often in Ulverston because we have a holiday home nearby , if we fancy a drink and something to eat this place has become our first choice. The interior décor is interesting and a bit quaint , spacious with a high vaulted ceiling it has that old farmhouse feel . We tend to call mid to late afternoon... More

This is just the ticket for a filling but fast lunch. Staff are very friendly and helpful both at the bar and food service. Good choice of two courses for £10.50, and the portions are very generous! The restaurant is fairly cavernous and you can choose a soft sofa or traditional dinging table with chairs or settle.

First of all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The menu is very good and the portion size is great. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his chicken wings starter and the food was overall of a good standard. Unfortunately my steak was over cooked, having asked for it medium rare. Also after asking for no sauce on my starter and... More

My wife and I stopped in for a Sunday roast and we were not disappointed. The pub itself is very cavernous and is indeed an old farmhouse, well appointed and thoroughly charming. There is a great selection of ales (local and further afield) and wines, not to mention a vast selection of spirits and whiskeys. For the food, we had... More

My niece who lives in Ulverston recommended this place to me as I was visiting my family in Ulverston with my daughter and asked where we could get a cheapish and cheerful meal on our way. I must say I was not disappointed, I had the 2-course for £10.50, prawns and crayfish with in rose marie sauce with salad and... More

Excellent food, freshly cooked and reasonably priced. Staff helpful and polite. Lots of menu choices. Portions on the large size. The chips were scrumptious and crispy

It was a very long time ago that we had visited the Old Farmhouse. We went on this occasion with very good friends. We were accommodated at a lovely spacious table. The menu's cater for all tastes and the specials were reasonably priced. The staff were professional and very polite. All 4 meals were served in good time, they were... More

A large family group got together to celebrate the birthday of the only family resident living in Ulverston and the oldest in our party. I won't give her age away. So, we all travelled some distance for lunch here. The Sunday lunch menu is good and young children are catered for as well. The service was good and the staff... More

Having a good day, in a good mood, got all my work done, so decided at the last minute to take my wife and youngest out for a meal to our old friend, The Old Farm House. Arrived 12.10pm 11TH July 2012, decided not to sit outside, being a bit warm and thought to sit at the window table, table... More
