EXCELLENT! Lovely pub, amazing food!

Went back again for our tea on 8th April and had another fantastic meal. Very friendly place, and lovely inside and out, the staff are lovely and always make a fuss of our little dog. We went for the cod father and weren't disappointed! It was really lovely and very good value, fast service, red... read more

Great price for the two course deal. Visited with elderly parents. Lovely setting, beautiful table, service was great, fish and chips were slightly disappointing, batter was soggy, otherwise no complaints.

I have eaten here a few times and the food has been consistently good in the main. The environment is nice and friendly, plenty of outdoor seating if the weather is nice. I wish they would learn how to make a proper 'fruit crumble' however as this has been disappointing more than once.

When we arrived, there was no Cumberland pie or fish and chips which were the two things we wanted. In the end I had a cheese and bacon burger and my partner had a Cajun burger. The onion rings which had been placed on top were so greasy the bun was soggy and not nice. My partners burger was bland,... More

I think this has to be my favourite place to eat in ulverston. Good menu choice, something to suit all tastes. My only issue on this visit being i ordered from the special board chicken breast with goats cheese and sun dried tomatoes but when it arrived it was chicken leg. It was however very good. My husband ordered the... More

Me and my family stopped at the old farmhouse on our way home from visiting the south lakes zoo. The family friendly pub had great friendly staff who looked after us brilliantly while we dined. I had the Cumberland pie which had chicken, gammon Cumberland sausage all blended together with a creamy sauce. It couldn't be faulted. Defiantly would recommend... More

Called in today after a trip to the animal park. Only found it by accident and I'm so glad we did. I had the lamb burger and my husband had the Cumberland pie. I have never felt the need to put a review on here before. But after sampling this place I wanted the proprietors to get the praise this... More

We couldn't have been more impressed with The Old Farmhouse. The service is faultless, the menu is vast, the portions are plentiful and the food is of the highest standard. Lovely atmosphere and relaxing surroundings. We are very much looking forward to returning.
