Stopped by on Sunday for lunch with my daughter. We sampled the Sunday lunch menu and it was fantastic. Everything cooked freshly and the roast beef was delicious. Lovely place to visit with friendly helpful staff and a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend visiting here.

Called into Mae's a couple to weeks ago. Smashing food, all home cooked. Very friendly atmosphere, all the art stuff on display adds to the character of the room. Good music playing too. Heading back tonight...............

Mae's Tearoom is a favourite place for us to nip to when we fancy a lovely light lunch or a comforting slice of cake and a cup of tea. Mark's welcome is warm and whether you go on a stunning Lakeland summer's day or a chilly winter one you will emerge feeling comfortably well fed. Mae's is the old Uldale... More

Tucked away in the village of Uldale, this lovely tearoom and gallery is well worth finding. We only had tea and scones with homemade jam but care is taken with presentation - sliced fresh strawberries as a garnish - and they serve leaf tea which is always better than tea bags. The gallery itself is a bright open space and... More

Called in as part of a planned cycle ride. Did the sensible thing and called ahead to check opening to avoid disappointment. Was expecting a low key affair as it is so tucked away but were impressed with how the owners have created a real destination tea room. The building has heaps of character and filling with local arts and... More

Home baked scones and hot x buns with steaming hot coffee, served with a smile after a day out on the Wainwright fells. Great place to visit.
