Lovely, quirky little place

We took our little boy here for afternoon tea one day, after having the place recommended to us and it didn't disappoint. Very friendly staff, food was lovely and some very good art for sale. We will be going back!

Arrived for tea but received a really nice welcome from the owner. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable. The staff had time for you it was reasonable priced but also excellent. Well worth the trip for a nice meal served buy people who cared out the service.

Nice evening at Mae's Tea Room with lovely food and nice bottle of wine. I love the ambience in this place and being able to look at the art work and handicrafts of local artists displayed in this lofty space. Another great treat.

We called in for sandwiches at the end of a lovely walk in the area. Such a nice café - great spot with lovely views, very friendly hosts and great food! A very relaxing hour - will be back, I hope!

Stopped here on Saturday 21st Feb, two very cold and tired cyclists still with miles to cover. The combination of a truly warm welcome, lovely coffee and hot fruit scones was perfect. particularly if upon leaving you have to ride up the hill at Uldale. An oasis, tucked out of the way and whilst it's tempting to keep it to... More

A lovely little tea room tucked away in the little village of Uldale. A beautiful selection of products and art available for sale. But most importantly the food is of the highest quality and is reasonably priced. Excellent customer service.

Driven past this place a few times when visiting my partner's sister in Thursby, so glad we finally took her advice and called in for cake on the way past. Lovely atmosphere for a midweek afternoon in September; a few walkers and a dog, a cluster of locals embroidering church kneelers over a pot of tea, and two friendly staff... More

We went to Mae's last Sunday morning when visiting friends who live nearby. It has become something of a tradition for us to call in on a Sunday and as ever it was a pleasure with great coffee and home baking served by smiling, attentive staff all in a lovely setting with work by local artists on the walls.
