There was a number of issues the night we ate at Lock Fyne which is a huge shame because the building, an old church, is beautiful. Firstly, there was an unacceptably high number of dishes not available on the menu. The staff were badly trained. The waiter told us about some dishes that were missing from the menu but not... More

Went to Loch Fyne with my husband last night. We have visited this restaurant a few times with no complaints and we were not disappointed this time either. We ordered 12 mixed oysters to share to start. The tempura ones are to die for although all lovely. I then got the potted mackerel with bread. Also lovely. My other half... More

It was either here or Pizza Express for an impromptu meal and the set meal looked the better value of the two choices. The setting is superb - the conversion has been done sensitively and with flair. The service was attentive and all 6 choices were tasty and well presented. Food quality was good value at this price and we... More

We stumbled accross this lovely old converted church by accident. We were greeted by the barman who enquired if we had a reservation and when we said no, he handed us over to his colleague who led us to a table near the fish counter. What amazed me was the lack of a fishy smell as in some fishmongers. We... More

A stunning old converted church but average food. We had grilled prawns, oysters and calamari all pretty average and the service was quite patronising. We did return for afternoon oysters and champagne which was delicious.

We went in on Fenruary 13th for a Pre Valentine's meal... on arriving we asked for a bin end bottle of wine that was high on the shelves (it does say clearly "we sell bin ends") only to be told we could not have it as it was not programmed into the till. I then mentioned we were celebrating and... More

This restaurant has been carefully created in the location of an old church. we found the atmosphere a little cold, but it has been imagininatively laid out with cahrming oak finishes. The beers and wines left something to be desired at the price. Starter of seafood salad and oyster! You cant really mess that up. oysters came with a selection... More

My friend and I were very disappointed with this restaurant, as the portions were very small and the food was very overpriced for what we got, and lacked flavour. The place lacked atmosphere. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
