Best pub to eat at in Broughton

We found space despite not booking and even mid week it was quite busy. The staff were helpful. The menu choice was wide ranging and excellent with many specials. Food was well presented and tasty and served well. An excellent restaurant.

I have been to this pub 3 times in 2 weeks (whilst in the area) to eat. Each as a group of adults. The food is scrumptious. Salmon, Fish and Chips, Scampi, Sunday Roast all lovely. Good choice of meals and specials board. Friendly staff, excellent service, even when it is full the wait is not too bad, just sat... More

Me and my husband had a lovely Sunday roast, we had booked a table it was quite busy due to a function in the back room. Lots of people asking for tables. My husband finished before me, just as I put the last mouthful in my mouth someone cleared the table. When the next people came to ask for a... More

Serving a varied good range of well cooked food and a decent selection of beers and wine we found the Black Cock Inn reasonably priced with efficient service. However, part way through our meal the night's entertainment arrived; a one man band who appeared to have had rather too much alcohol. He proceeded to set up an unbelievable amount of... More

I visited this lovely pub/restaurant with a group of family and friends on Sunday 24th May 2015. We managed to get a table near to what is known as the 'snug??'. The food was excellent and the waitress attentive. However, the evening was marred by the racist and sexist ranting of a 'local??'. This vile individual seemed to be holding... More

Stopped in for Sunday Lunch before heading off down the M6 for home. Great choice of roasts, food was excellent. Best sunday lunch we have had for a long time. Plenty of meat and veg, quaint old pub, very friendly and cosy. Sunday roast is £10 each or two for £15 ... can't go wrong.

I visited today 22/5/2015 with my boss to greet two ladies that are riding with us for 6 days. We were greet and welcomed into the pub and seated with our clients, even though we were late it did not matter to them and they catered for us any way. I had the trio of Yorkshire puddings with sausage and... More
