The tables were a little sticky

The food was absolutely excellent and there was great service. The only tiny problem was that the tables were too sticky to play cards on.

After having a very unfulfilled journey around the coast on a rainy day we decided on the off chance Calling in for Sunday dinner and even though they were very busy they fitted us in. OMG it was by far the best Sunday dinner out I have ever had. Beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were great too. We decided... More

Myself, husband and 2 fussy eater boys (5&8 yrs old) called in to eat on a Tuesday night while holidaying in the area. Almost all the tables were reserved, but we got the last but one upstairs. The staff were busy but helpful and friendly. The food came quickly and we adults thought it was one of the best meals... More

Was looking for somewhere to have dinner after arriving in Cumbria. This pub was recommended to us from where we were staying. The food was good and was served quickly. A band was just setting up as we were finishing off and they were very loud so we didn't hang around. Would recommend it for food though.

We found space despite not booking and even mid week it was quite busy. The staff were helpful. The menu choice was wide ranging and excellent with many specials. Food was well presented and tasty and served well. An excellent restaurant.

I have been to this pub 3 times in 2 weeks (whilst in the area) to eat. Each as a group of adults. The food is scrumptious. Salmon, Fish and Chips, Scampi, Sunday Roast all lovely. Good choice of meals and specials board. Friendly staff, excellent service, even when it is full the wait is not too bad, just sat... More
