Myself and my husband came here on Saturday night for a bite to eat! The pub has recently been refurbished and it looks really good! Ordered starters and mains and arrival of food was really quick considering it was prime time Saturday night and it was very busy! Lovely well cooked food couldn't ask for anymore! Service fabulous very friendly... More

Only very small inside but great decor. Meals took around 25 mins so not that bad reasonably priced and food good quality. Not so customer driven though, chicken tikka masala, wanted half chips half rice, could not do it, who's the customer?. Friendly staff though just left saying it was OK but nothing to make us return. No wow factor.

Dunno wot fuddy duddies are contributing to these comments, but be assured as a 30year regular, these are way off the mark The refurb is amazing, mixing modern wine bar, relaxed style, with comfortable easy living local pub: plenty of Chesterfield suites and the like Food is too die for, such an uplift in standards, the quality cannot be questioned Yes... Errr all a bit bizarre really. Looked good, the refurb is fantastic and the new ale selection should be a real draw...food was okay but having some real issues with service. Need to better inform customers what to do when they arrive, the toddler issue should resolve once they get the high chairs and menus, don't even know how to... More

This pub/diner has just been refurbished and has no carpet which has made it far too noisy also the high tables and stools are uncomfortable and not suitable for older people.

Visited on the opening night after refurbishment. They have done a great job and it looks really great but I do feel it has lost that warm homely feel about the place. Food orders are now taken at the bar which means the bar staff are run off their feet with large queues developing and plenty of people getting missed... More

Atmosphere great, buzzin. Good choice of lager and real ales. Food really tasty. Polite and good service

Nicely updated decor but staff and food the same. Waited ages for meals and could tell they had been kept "warm". Needs improving.

Quite regularly come to the church view as live close by and absolutely love the new look and feel after the recent refurbishment. Still country pub look but with a new modern edge. The new menu is amazing, real pub food cooked from fresh with generous portions instead of the old 2 for £10. Will definitely be returning !

We really used to enjoy the food at the church view but our last two visits have been awful. Food was tasteless. Sandwich was inedible as the chicken tikka on it was was cremated. We did get a refund by a very miserable female member of staff who didn't seem very pleased that we returned the sandwich despite us being... More
