We keep coming back to this restaurant. Really. We keep coming back. It is good standards based dining with a Maitre D who sees that things are done properly but without pomposity and an owner who takes an interest in his clients. Complain? No need. anything wrong is remedied before you can think of complaining!

Went with my husband and 92 year old mother for Sunday lunch. Elegant, refined, excellent service from people who really knew their job, and the food.................. From my totally traditional roast beef and Yorkshire, with some of the fluffiest roast potatoes I've ever tasted, to a rich sea bass dish enjoyed by my husband, and a vegetarian pancake for my... Sunday lunch is a really special experience, Took friends there to celebrate anniversary of their proposing there, as a surprise. The food was outstanding and the service without par. Being attended to by very experienced, mature , exquisitely mannered gentlemen, makes so much difference. They are utterly confident, know just what assistance is required, and remain charming and humorous whatever.... More

As a birthday surprise, my boyfriend booked the Dinner Bed and Breakfast deal, and we came on Friday night 8th August. The room was lovely, clean, fresh and modern with a lovely view of the Bollin. Dinner was really good, I started with Goatscheese Bruschetta and my partner had the Pea and Ham soup, both delicious. I then had a... More

Just been to this venue for the wedding of my daughter, I can honestly say that this is the best place to hold your wedding. Everything was absolutely brilliant, the staff are the friendliest and most accommodating and made this the most perfect day for everyone. I have never known so many people comment on what a lovely wedding they... More

My Aunt and I were looking forward to this visit. We had forgiven the fact that even though our visit for Christmas Lunch was booked well in advance, we were put in a corner behind a long table full of revellers. We had to look for staff each time to order the food or drink. However on Friday the 4th... More

Went for Christmas lunch last year. Absolutely appalling. The most hostile female I've ever encountered "greeted" us when we arrived, snapped our heads off and told us we were in the annexe. Refused drinks at the bar and told there was a bar in the annexe. There is - but there are no seating facilites. Meal appalling, waitresses geriatric and... More

My friend was 70 at the beginning of May and invited several friends including me for lunch at The Bridge. It was a wonderful occasion, only made even more special by the marvellous service and delicious food. Will be going again in June
