average family dining.

Visit here approximately once a month. It is reasonably priced, and good for families with children. Food is not the best and we visit primarily if we cannot be bothered to cook! Never had a bad meal however the meals are very much 'freezer food'.

The quality of food here is very low, the lasagne I ordered was burnt to a crisp and my boyfriends food was fresh from the microwave, the extremely low price reflects in the extremely poor quality! You get what you pay for!

Visited this pub with a clear mind that for the price we weren't expecting fine dining, my self and wife ordered our starters which were fine, although main courses were a little less than desired, the menu bigs itself up with an American grill style theme - so we thought we couldn't go wrong with a burger - we added... Nice pub. Nice menu selection. But it just attracts the type of people you don't want to be around for a diner ( especially match days etc). Not enough to put you off but I would never 'make an effort' to go there. But really good food and good menu.

The food in here is at best ok. The only thing it has going for it is the price but if you plan on having something somewhat healthy forget about it. Everything I've tasted is like it was cooked in a microwave. That being said it's fast and convenient with good service staff. Can't speak for the pub scene of... More

This has changed ownership i think ? and is called the Sir John Brunner now. when we first went after they opened the delays in food were bad. But recently we have been twice and things have improved a lot. It is now a nice place to go. It IS still dark inside and the old Captain coconuts is still... More

Very slow service. Wine warm (fridge poorly stocked). Tables and menus dirty and sticky. Seating areas outside dirty and tired. In major need of refurb.
