Description: An award winning farm shop and tea room, situated in a beautiful countryside location, just off A49 holiday route and close to both the Trent & Mersey Canal and River Weaver. Seating up to 45 within three sections, which are themed around local author Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, with additional seating within their tea garden. On site a long established florist, a flower and plant nursery, beauty barn, a furniture and gift shop and a small variety of rare breed animals. Thirty-five loose leaf teas and two pages of artisan coffees, delicious home-made cakes and a good selection of delicious home-made light lunches, not to mention the award winning Afternoon Teas they specialise in, all make a visit very special. It can be very busy, therefore booking in advance is highly recommended to avoid disappointment. This establishment operates an in-house customer comment card system and monitors feedback. They respectfully request customers to contact them directly should there be any areas where they could improve.

I originally booked for 3 and a little one but on the morning of day we were going I added to the party the lady on the phone was very helpful. The lady physical checked to see if the high chair would fit. The tea room is lovely and has the mad hater designs on the walls and the big... More

On recommendation, my wife and I visited Davenports for the first time on Friday 10th October. We found the experience hugely disappointing. On arrival we were greeted by the waiter with “Hi guys, you ok there”. We each ordered the home made leek and potato soup with a toasted cheese & onion sandwich. After a 15 minute wait, our food... Delightful and friendly! Lovely setting, sat outside because a prebooked group of jolly-gerrys were enjoying themselves over a brew and cream tea goodies inside. Great coffee on an "Indian Summer" day.

A cute tea room with amazing afternoon tea and other food in the menu! Highly recommend! Very small place though so big groups need to book and they need 24 hours notice if you want a specific selection for your afternoon tea.

We live quite near but had never been here before. We were so pleased it is a beautiful place. Staff are excellent, food is extraordinary and the prices are fair. We will definitely visit again.

Have been to Davenports several times for their amazing afternoon tea. Most recently we took my Grandma for her 80th birthday. Opted for a mixture of traditional and savoury afternoon tea which works really well. The food is lovely and we really like how they go through everything included in afternoon tea so you know exactly what you are getting.... More

This is quite an expensive place to eat. We stopped after a walk near the local canal. The tearoom was quite busy and we had one of the last tables. The decoration is very nice, if a a little twee. I guess it was busy, but the service was quite slow in my opinion. The staff were pleasant enough, but... More

Been to Davenports before. It seems to appeal to anyone whatever age. The younger ones enjoy the drama of the service whilst older the quality and providence of the food. Can't recommend more highly.

My mum has just been cleared of Breast cancer and myself and my friend have been doing new things to celebrate with her. She is the most critical of people when dining out!!!! We arrived at Davenports and they were fully booked but the owner made us very welcome and mum was able to relax in a comfy chesterfield whilst... More
