Could not fault it

I stayed at the Premier Inn next to the Blue Cap for two nights. Around 50 of us descended on the Blue Cap for breakfast and dinner. Mimi and her staff could not do enough to help us and make our visit enjoyable. On both mornings Mimi opened for breakfast early as specifically for our group. The... read more

Met with a couple of friends for a catch up and meal out. I have detailed below but the whole experiece was a catalogue of errors. We were given menus all 3 had little pegs on for the evening menu to be attached but only 1 actually had the menu. We had seen the Seafood festival advertised on the website... More

Hi Krysia R I would like to personally apologise for your recent poor experience with ourselves. This is not acceptable and is not how we usually work. All of the issues you have raised have been noted and further training is being given, both with the team members who worked on the evening you visited and other team members. Mimi More

Having just waited almost 45 minutes tonight and still not received a menu, I have decided to leave the blue cap. I was sat down at my table by a member of staff. No service whatsoever yet every table beside me has been waited on at least twice. Catching the waitress eye a few times I thought the penny would... More

Dear Gary I would like to prefusely appologise about your experience on Monday night. Unfortunately we got caught out by being unusually busy for a Monday night and obviously that shows by the service you didn't receive. I know that this is not a good enough excuse, but I can assure you this is being looked into and brought to... More

A friend and I decided to eat out for a change. Unfortunately, we thought the food was not to standard and came out an hour late. Our waiteress Frankie- was very apologetic and ensured all was done to solve the errors that occurred.

As we stayed at the adjacent Premier Inn (which was also excellent), the Blue Cap was the nominated pub. Mimi and her staff were superb, all attentive and couldn't do enough for us. All the meals we had were excellent, from breakfast to evening dinner. There were four real ales on the bar with at least two from local independent... More

Our group descended on the Blue Cap, more than 40 of us on Friday and over 50 on Saturday. Mimi and the team could not have done more for us, and all of it in good humour. Well done to a great team, great food (curry tiffin!), great venue. Thanks!!

Approximately 50 of us stayed at the Premier Inn next door to the Blue Cap for 2 nights. We all ate at the Blue Cap at breakfast and evening meal times. Despite how busy they were the staff kept smiling and were extremely helpful at all times serving excellent food. A big thankyou to all concerned (especially Mimi) for all... More

We called in at the Blue Cap for something to eat and as always enjoyed a lovely lunch. We were greeted by our lovely waitress Shiona who was very friendly, polite, and helpful. Shiona absolutely struck the right balance between being attentive and allowing us to enjoy our meal (one of our pet hates is when a server constantly comes... More

Excellent service from Sophie and the team, the food was served hot and the roast dinner was lovely. My wife had the chicken tiffin which was fantastic. We will definitely be coming back.
