I have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions, every time the staff go that 110% to assist. The friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of restaurant and standard of food is excellent. I have both breakfast and evening dinner and as a lone traveler the hospitality received is very much appreciated. I feel very safe in pub and restaurant. Definitely will... More

Visited with family on a Sunday early evening, two young children in tow! The waitress who didnt actually serve us, was playing and entertaining the children as and when she walked past, bringing them colouring menu and crayons, brilliant!! kept them entertained whilst we waited for food! The food was lovely, the Sunday roast was cooked to perfection, plenty of... More

At 7pm on a Sunday we was told we would be seated within 5 minutes to then 5 minutes later was told there was no Sunday Roast (acceptable at that time of the evening). I then... More

It was my bro-in-law's funeral, and it was positive, with dignity and good family support, and an assurance that he is now with the God he served so passionately. And then to the Blue Cap, where there was adequate space, a relaxed atmosphere, efficient staff, and more food than we could possibly eat. So much, and so good. It helped... More

Probably the most disgusting food I've ever attempted to eat. My little boy had the tomato and chicken pasta which the chicken wasn't even hot so I wouldn't let him eat it. Couldn't tell a waitress because none were to be found. My partner and I ate of the smaller set menu. First course we both had the black pudding... More

Used to use this place fairly regularly as it was local and had a good varied menu but all of a sudden the menu was changed and there was a choice of only approx 5-6 main meals and a specials board of 2-3 meals. My impression was if there wasn't too much choice on the main menu the customers would... More

We ate here several times as we were staying at the Premier Inn next door for a few days recently. The food was good and there was a varied menu. On the first evening we visited there was a quiz which we didn't want to participate in, so we were offered a nice table in an area away from the... More

Stayed at Premier Inn next door but had an evening meal and a breakfast at the Blue Cap. Mimi could not have been more helpful to us and I would recommend this pub to anyone.
