Great food!

Love the food. Really friendly team. Nice environment and a relaxing place to have a drink at a reasonable price. What more could you want??

From the moment we stepped through the door we loved it. The owner gave us a lovely warm welcome and that was the start of superb service. The smaller bar room had a lovely fire and great ale (and a stuffed badger!). The food was delicious - vegetarian options were very adventurous and the sweet potato croquette a welcome change... Dear Suzanne and Sam What a fantastic review, it gave us all a lift and its nice to know we are heading in the right direction. The stuffed badger was donated and we couldn't see him in the bin, we still haven't found him or her a name. I have passed on your review to the chefs and room service... More

We've lived in the area for over 21 years and in that time seen managers come and go at The Badger (some good, some not so good....) aswell as a long period of closure. Since a total renovation and David took over (David of The Plough in Whitegate), The Badger has been reborn. Tastefully decorated and beautifully extended, it is... More

Called here with no reservation they gave us nice table near window, nice view of greenery outside. Menu choice was good. Starter was the fish platter dish, very good quality smoked salmon and whitebait excellent. Meals consisted of kedgeree and I had sea trout with green peas and some kale. Very good along with good ales for my husband and... More

We eat at the Badger one evening on a week's walk from the Pennine Way at Edale to Chirk on Offa's Dyke path. Easily the best evening meal of the week. A citrus and Cheshire blue cheese salad together with a ploughman's containing homemade pork pie and balsamic pickled onions. Washed down with great local ales. Not busy on a... More

The Badger Inn is right next to the church in Church Minshull, a short drive from Nantwich and Middlewich, and an even shorter one from Leighton Hospital. There's a good car park at the back, from which you can access the pub and restaurant. It is wheelchair friendly. On Sundays, the lunch menu extends for most of the day, offering... More

Dear Top Contributor Many thanks for another amazing review, it gave us all a lift. With reference to the roast potatoes, I'm afraid this was a supply problem as they didn't have our usual Saxon potatoes for roasting and we were assured the ones you had would be as good, you were not the only one to let us know... Had a rare ribeye steak which was quite chewy. Prob my own fault for having it rare... All accompaniments were good, pepper sauce and homemade chips in particular. Menu was a little limited for lunchtime but really nicely done out. I would go again and it give it another go, just not the steak.

Dear Gary It could of been the steak that was chewy not necessarily the way it was cooked, these are premium British steaks and the cow was under three years age. We have already spoken to the butcher ref this before I even wrote this. Even rare the steak shouldn't of been that chewy, we could of done you another... More

A table for 8 was booked 2 months in advance, we explained that it was for a family pre wedding event and with this in mind we were offered the mirror room as it had space and was good for a party of 8. On arrival the restaurant really looks the part and is very well decoorated, we stated that... More

6 of us arrived by canal boat last Monday night. The Badger is only down the road from our home so the pressure was on us as we'd picked the pub to eat at because we moored nearby on a week's cruise. I wasn't let down. Fabulous food as always. Everyone enjoyed their meals. You do have to wait a... More
