Was taking part in a charity event here and after decided to eat there, all though it was packed they found us a table, the food was fresh well cooked and great value. Really enjoyed the visit and would highly recommend on this visit.

Good wholesome food at reasonable prices, in a traditional country pub. It's good to visit on cold days too and be met with a lovely cosy fire. The owner is also very friendly and welcoming.

Dining out needn't be expensive,we had a very nice 2 course meal for the low price of £6 per person,on a Saturday night too! This deal is also available on Wed,and lunchtimes.I had spicy meatballs and salad to start,my partner had garlic mushrooms on toast, then chicken cobbler, and faggotts, served with a plate of fresh vegetables including mange tout and cabbage and... Reserved a table by a nice fire. The Beer was good. Meals just ok. However we found the service very poor. My daughter's naan bread was either sea biscuit or could be used as a Frisbee it was so hard. We mentioned it to the waitress - she never came back to us. Mentioned it to one of the management.... We stayed for one night at the campsite in a campervan. I rang ahead as per their website & was advised we could just turn up as there was plenty of space available. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by a member of the bar staff who explained about the site. After settling in we went into the pub for... More

Well, this made a change from Wetherspoons! We were on a caravan rally at the Cotton Arms and 26 of us went for fish and chips for tea on Friday. As we all went in about the same time some did have to wait rather a long time, but we all enjoyed the meal. The price on the menu is... More

Unlike another reviewer we had a really poor meal here, felt unwelcome, found it hard to get service and nobody seemed to care less! My Scampi wasn't too bad but we've no idea what my wife's 'cod' was. Several battered pieces of something white and tasteless. On the next visit to the village we went to the Dusty Miller, had... We went here after a really bad lunch at the Dusty Miller. We were a bit wound up from arguing with them so were pleased at the warm welcome we received, as well as the good service. Portions were generous and the meal was nice. They could see that we were wound up and made every effort to make sure... More

We called in as a lunchtime stop on our cruise along the canal for coffee & cakes. This was excellent but when we saw the lunches being served we wished we were stopping for an evening meal! The portions looked enormous, even a plate of sandwiches, and smelled delicious. The pub / restaurant has a lovely traditional & welcoming feel... More

Perfect location for barge holiday folk and just next to a caravan/camping park. Understandably extremely busy, staff running everywhere but still good service. Main courses (roasts) were delicious and huge.
