For me what I want out of a place I'm eating at is good quality ingredients well cooked and good service (it's pretty simple) Ginger and Pickles ticks the boxes, you pay a little more but the 6 of us who turned up were more than happy to pay. Highly recommended

We sat in glorious sunshine in the secret garden and enjoyed a leisurely lunch of wonderful locally sourced produce beautifully prepared. Delightful tea room - well worth a visit!

Enjoyed Sunday brunch here as a family. Don't know why we've never been before as we really enjoyed it. Staff were lovely and food was good. Nice little treat on a Sunday morning!

The staff were warm and friendly and the breakfast was well presented and the vegetarian option quite good. The prices were quite high but I'd rather pay for something worth eating in pleasant surrounding. Tea was a bit weak but the coffee was good. The toilet could do with a bit of an overhaul as it smelled a bit unpleasant... More

I used to come here for the milkshakes with my friends when I was younger and thoroughly enjoyed them, although I do think that they were slightly overpriced. I have since returned and ate here a few times yet I think that it is overpriced as the food is good... But not worth the asking price. Other than that, the... More

Paid for and afternoon tea and a cream tea, scones were nice however the cake was dry, the sandwiches were all chicken and cranberry even though there should of been a selection, cafe was very stuffy with no air circulation. Very overpriced for very simple food. Will not return.

Enjoyed a lovely sandwich with amazing chutney in this lovely quaint little tea room. The staff were particularly friendly with nothing being too much trouble. The lovely friendly family dog Mary added to the great family atmosphere, I would highly recommend a visit.

I have passed this place many times but there has never been a free table, imagine my surprise when I managed to be only one of two customers in there. I hadn't really intended to have anything but thought I'd give it a go as I had the chance. Coffee and Victoria sponge was lovely, the lady serving very friendly... More

Went today for the first time for some breakfast with my sister and son. The food was amazing, you definitely get your money's worth, the coffee was lovely although I wish I had got a tea as my sister smelt delicious. They had high chairs for my son and the service was brill. All in all a really lovely little... More
