My wife, in laws and myself came here for my birthday. We had a brilliant night. Food was amazing and the staff were very courteous and attentive. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again. Only one criticism, the desserts are way to moreish. Oh and it had a lively but relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be back

The Thatch has always been a solid reliable local pub for a meal. However, Ive now changed my opinion. - Serving staff were friendly enough; other staff were very frosty and unwelcoming - The menu choice has been reduced which is fine, but the prices have all gone up (there isnt a main meal now for under £10). I wouldn't... More

Went for a meal with my partner and my parents to celebrate our engagement, and the service and food were all good. If I had to have one complaint, I'd say the fish was a bit on the bland side, otherwise the food was all A+.

Our first visit (with friends who had been before). Four of us had game pie - excellent! tender meat and truly flavoursome; served with peas and chips- couldn't be bettered: our other two friends enjoyed the sea bass. I enjoyed the Eton Mess and friends enjoyed their various desserts. Staff were friendly and accommodating- responding to our expectation to be... More

We took the family there for a special celebration meal with great expectations based on it's past reputation but were a bit disappointed. The food was quite expensive but not very special. My dish that was supposed to have a spiced sauce was bland and dry, not much sign of it having been a sauce. We had requested a place... More

The thatch is an excellent place to dine, the food is first class and the staff are really good, it's not your average pub it's a lot better then that. It has a really good menu and always appears to be full. Just don't eat much the day after as you will still be full. Kev and Angela.

Myself and my family have been regulars at The Thatch Inn for the past 3 years now and every time that we have been the food, service and general ambience has been exceptional. When we found out that the place had changed hands we thought that we would return for my fathers birthday to see if anything had changed and... More
