Lovely staff

Used a groupon voucher to try this pub. Lovely out of the way location. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. Two of us had the beef bourguignon which just melted in your mouth. Beautiful slow roasted veg and dauphinoise potatoes. Two had the rump steak cooked to perfection... read more

Excellent meal, pleasant environment and hospitable host. (Can be difficult to find if unfamiliar with this area, if so allow plenty of time)

Think I have reviewed the dusty a few times now, and these have not always been favourable, so it's only fair to give praise when we have had a great night. The pub was busy, and some items had sold out. Service was slower than normal but it didn't bother us as in good company. The food was superb. My... More

We had a most agreeable lunch at the Dusty Miller courtesy of my youngest son’s Christmas gift of a voucher from Groupon. With great food, a stonking bottle of reasonably priced Rioja Crianza and attentive service from Chris in an old world charm, chocolate-box canal side setting, what’s not to like? It would become one of our favourite local restaurant/bars... More

This Pub/Restaurant is our regular "go out for a lovely meal" place. There are others on our list; but when family are asked the Dusty Miller is always mentioned by most. The service is very good; the food delicious and they can always offer a good selection for allergy sufferers. The manager Chris, is always welcoming and the interior is... More

We had a warm welcome from Chris who was very attentive and keen for us to enjoy our visit. We both enjoyed a delicious three course lunch in a room warmed by a real fire which was most welcome on a cold and wet January day. The menu is varied and caters for all tastes. Special diets can be catered... More

My husband and I were very kindly bought a two course meal for two as a Xmas present. We ate on a Tuesday evening which was lovely and quiet with only about 8 other diners in. We had never been before and therefore had no expectations. The restaurant and bar were attractively decorated and quite homely. We were taken to... More

We visited in January with family. We had a nice table over looking the canal and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately our meals took over 50 minutes to arrive but when they did the food was good. I would visit this place again as there had been a vintage car rally on in the morning and they... More
