We came across this pub on a random drive, and we're glad we did. Superb canal-side location and very well refurbished. Good selection of ales, great service, and the food was above par. Perfect for a relaxed, sunny Sunday afternoon

My wife and I had lunch in the Dusty Miller today, Food was excellent and the service exceptional. The location is hard to beat, being adjacent to the canal and a lifting bridge over the canal. We shall definitely visit again.

We were looking for somewhere new for a birthday celebration and found this place. We had read a couple of reviews and some dissed the food but we thought we'll judge when we have tried it. The venue is perfect, canal boats passing by the dining room window! The staff greeted us and were attentive all evening. Prices were comparable... More

Great Location on the canal, perfect for Al Fresco drinks. Great choice of beers and menu. If everything so far is great then why the statement 'Dreadful'? This would be due to the 'Management Team'. Surly, frosty and generally not very nice. The lack of interest and lassaiz faire approach from the landlord who seemed more interested in joining his... More

We are fairly local and walked down to arrive just after 5.30pm on a Friday for a spontaneous light bite. No menus were ready so we ordered a drink and were told they would bring the menu out to us when ready. 6.30 came and I went in to see they were ready and was told in a rather offhand... More

As we pulled up on the car park I was really impressed by the pub and it's surroundings - lovely location and a nice sunny beer garden. Inside was equally nice but unfortunately that's where the positives end. We arrived just after it opened and were told we could not order food for 2hours as it was too busy -... More

We held a function here for around 30 people and had buffet food. The food was excellent, fresh hot, plentiful, and very much a cut above the usual. All of our guests commented on how good the food was and what a lovely venue. Jamie, the manager was very accommodating and the staff were all great. Highly recommended.

Stopped when visiting family, sat in the restaurant adjacent to the canal which was beautiful. The staff were friendly and attentive, good selection of ale, and food was great value for money. The rib eye was cooked to perfection, someone else in our party had a lovely trout dish with fennel, and the pie was lovely with a herby garlic... More
