we live locally to this pub and used to frequent it quite often but due to several issues mainly with rude staff we have been giving it a miss preferring to go to other pubs in the area where the staff and service is far superior. However this evening was different we were actually made to feel welcome as Kris... More

A group of 8 of us booked a Christmas meal at The Dusty Miller. We were worried that the set Christmas menu and seasonal rush may not give us the usual high standards we usually receive at this this gem of a country pub. we should not have worried. The food was outstanding and great value. The staff could not have... More

Ok - we had a family xmas dinner here and it was average to say the least! 1) staff were just too busy 2) veg undercooked 3) Turkey processed 4) no trimmings ( cranberry sauce) 5) table was not festive (no table cloth) I would like to say that the staff really did their best and with some more attention... Robinson's Pubs used to by synonymous with 'in need of some tlc'. Now, however, not only the brewery has seen a cash injection over recent years. This is a pub that's well worth the effort of getting to. The food we had was very good and excellent value, made more so by the 'out of season' offer/voucher obtained via travelzoo.... More

We went for our family Christmas lunch, having booked for the set menu - disgusting! On arrival there was only one member of staff who was pleasant enough. The soup was luke warm, the butter frozen like a bullet...almost broke my bloody tooth! Our turkey dinner - using the word 'turkey' in the loosest term as it was obviously processed.... More

The location, setting and decor are all lovely. The food was not. My husband and I went for a Sunday evening meal and couldn't have been more disappointed. On arrival there wasn't a single member of staff to be seen for at least 5 minutes. The atmosphere seemed subdued with only a small number of other diners. Eventually someone materialised... More

We had an utterly delectable lunchtime meal here. Location is lovely, just off the canal- very convenient to narrow boaters! It was a lovely, warm day and we sat outside, canal-side, watching the canal traffic. There is a lift bridge, just across from the pub, so it makes for better than average entertainment. But the real joy was the food,... More

I've never been in season, when apparently it can become very busy and crowded, but I've been out of season around Autumn and winter, and the Miller is a truly lovely place to eat. The food is pub gourmet style, and there's plenty of it. Lovely scenic views
