Food and Service

whilst in Middlewich with my boat I visited the narrowboat for an early evening meal. First class cooking and presentation and good choice of drinks - if in middlewich well worth a visit.

Had dinner this evening at The Narrowboat. Food was delicious, nice coffee, smashing service from all the staff. Looking forward to my next visit there already.

Stopped here on a trip up the M6 one evening. Good food, particularly if you like steak, but specials menu well worth a look. Doesn't look much from the outside but food is good value. If you're driving will need to park in public car park just along the road I think.

Called in at lunchtime and had something from the £5 lunch menu , good value, reasonable choice. Nice to be able to sit and just watch the boats negotiating the locks and passing by! Nice venue .

Their Sunday roast is lovely, good, honest, fresh and served piping hot! The homemade Yorkshire pudding is immense! This is a great little pub, with very welcoming owners and great value food!

We had heard lots of positive comments about the place but had not been as maybe I'd been a little prejudiced based on appearance. The pub looks small and quite gloomy from the outside and right on a main road. Anyway, we took the plunge and went for a walk the other Friday. The bar is small and, surprise, surprise,... More

Yet another great welcome. Festival friday, packed to the rafters. The bar was 6 people deep & Damo, one of the two landlords still not only managed to recognise us but remembered it wad my partners birthday. We have been there several times over the last couple of weeks & love it. Its a great atmosphere with live music regulary.... More

Visited this pub for food as I usually do when away on training courses in the area. This pub does reasonably priced food and drink and has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The staff were very helpful and the chef cooked our food to perfection. Can't fault the place......
