Not great

We visited on a Sunday night we had a table booked for 8 adults and 1 child the service was extremely slow but the food was good and some of the staff friendly . There are good deals on the menu and good choice

Wacky warehouse so child friendly -busy at peak times. Good price for meals, had lamb steaks which was as enormous meal I couldn't finish. Very good value.

Recently ate at the Waggon and Horses whilst staying at Hallmark Hotel opposite. The menu was extensive and very reasonable. My husband had the gammon and egg burger and I had the mac n cheese burger. Our food arrived promptly and it was beautiful!! The staff where very helpful and friendly. Will certainly return again!!

Called in at lunchtime a couple of weeks ago with 2 friends for something to eat. The first thing I noticed was that the pub itself is "tired", had no character to it and definitely needs a refurb inside and out. Though they say you should not judge on appearances I just knew straight away not to expect too much.... More

There weren't any other pubs/restaurants around so they obviously don't think they have to try hard. The whole place was quite grubby and the tables dirty. The food was cheap but not up to much. I ordered a roasted vegetable and goat's cheese tart. I spotted something black and something red in the tart but nothing identifiable, the tart was... More

Been many times before but usually on a very busy, noisy Friday. went midweek for a change. And what a change! Very quiet and peaceful. Good service and food arrived quite quickly. One had roast dinner, beef was excellent. Other had ham, egg and chips. Huge portions and hot. I had cheese sandwich. Not sure what cheese they use but... More

Visited during May 2015 for my sons 3rd birthday party, After paying a deposit online I visited the week before to pay the final balance. The party venue itself was clean but very tired, a lick of paint wouldn't go amiss but that aside the venue was clean and the staff were polite, attentive and courteous nothing was too much... More

Went here for son birthday mainly because of the wacky warehouse. Tried to go in to ww and was told very rudely they were full. Had lemonade which tasted 'dirty', sat there hearing men in bar 'f-ing' this and that very loudly.Went outside to a strong smell of marajuana! All while I had a couple of toddlers present! Not at... Impromptu visit . Couteous staff. Friendly welcoming. Excellent choice on the menu and excellent value food. Prompt service and food. Well looked after and good quality homely food. My daughter and I both had sandwiches and chips. Prompt, freshly cooked. Will be returning.
