Will definitely go again

Lovely place to meet friends for drinks and something to eat. Food is of good quality. It has a lovely outside area. The staff are very friendly and service is quick. Will visit again.

Visited here with mine and my wife's mum's. The dads couldn't resist coming too. Had a great meal in lovely old quirky pub. Nice prices and attentative staff we all had three courses which where very warm and fresh. Prices are reasonable and so are the drinks. If visiting at weekend booking a table is a must. Overall nice food... More

Decent but not outstanding pub food in a very agreeable atmosphere. I would rate it as a good place locally for an informal bite to eat. We have been there several times over the past year. Staff re pleasant and friendly. Dogs are catered for (water bowl, supply of biscuits) but not allowed inside. The outside area is attractive, despite... More

Visit the Rising Sun every time I visit my Mother in Nantwich, so Mothers Day was no exception, have always had a good meal here but now with the new management the atmosphere is fantastic. Lovely warm welcome from the Landlord, who took time out for a chat, and all the existing staff seemed so much more relaxed and happy.... More

previously been here for lovely meals and friendly service so booked for an early Mothers day lunch. On arrival was very disappointed. Had booked a table for 3. The response by the hostess was 'no must have been booked for 2 but we can add chair' to a tiny table, no room and no attempt to fix. we're fully booked... More

Visited The Rising Sun for an early evening meal. There were plenty of people already eating including families with young children so it is obviously a popular venue. Having made our choice from the menu and placed the order at the bar, we had a short wait until our food arrived. The wait was well worth it. The food was... More

Called in for lunch and ordered a feta, red onion and roasted tomato bloomer sandwich. Absolutely gorgeous! It was served with a homemade coleslaw, smokey tomato relish and a salad garnish with a dressing (honey and mustard?) This was a huge plate of food, not helped by my husband ordering a serving of chips for us to share. I really... More
