Reasonable food at reasonable prices

Food is the standard brewers fayre menu. Starter produced very quickly and no real delay before the main was produced. Pleasant surroundings, clean and reasonably decorated. Staff busy and not very attentive....they forgot our sauces!

Visited this establishment every other two weeks regularly, always been little niggling problems, but always overlooked these, thought oh well, and just put it down to one of those things......But tonight the waitress that served us surpassed herself in been really rude, five of us dining, four meals arrived so questioned if there was another meal to arrive, snapped back... I'm a believer in telling it how it is...here's my opinion.tables are sticky with spilt drinks and lack of cleaning,as a vegetarian,I found the menu extremely limited, ended up asking for chips and onion rings which were awful.my partners meal came fresh from the microwave, still frozen in the middle.we complained and,out of fairness to the young gentleman who was the duty... I took my wife in here for lunch on Sunday 31st May and initial impressions were good and the bar staff were very nice . That's as l,jgood as it gets. Two Cokes £4.40 and almost £20 for two meals. When we went to the carvery I asked for the roast beef . The chap with the beard looked miserable... More

Meals that were paid for didn't turn up. Other meals turned up with things missing 'because they'd run out'. All of the food was over-cooked and dreadful. When I complained that four meals were missng to the waiter, he shouted 'it's not my fault, is it?'. The manager caved immediately and offered a refund. The queue for refunds was enormous.... More

We went out for lunch on Sunday...two adults, two children. It was very quiet when we arrived and there were a number of staff loitering around which surprised me considering the mess all over the floor. We ordered our food and requested no onion rings on one of the meals..which came out anyway. When we mentioned this to the waitress... More

The best part of this lunch was the amount of fun we had at the abysmal service. I would recommend ordering from the menu at random, as what you'll end up getting will invariably suprise you. And don't upset the chef by coming in a group of two or more people. WOULD GO AGAIN.

We booked a table of 14 at the Brocklebank for lunch as a couple of our fellow colleagues were leaving the company we work for. On arrival the staff appeared to not have a clue about our booking although our tables had been set out with reservation signs on them, so they did figure it out eventually and we were... More

All food is frozen stuff like what you get from a supermarket. Chips were bland oven chips. This is a pub so should have proper chips like thick cut chunky chips done by hand not treat your customers to awful oven chips! If I would have known would not have bothered! Stay clear as not proper pub grub!

Stayed for two nights at premier inn and used brewers fayre for meal upon arrival and also two morning breakfasts following this. Me and my wife found the evening meal was a poor overall experience. Prices granted were ok however our meals appeared to be all frozen stuff you would get from a supermarket. The burger my wife had no... More
