We went here tonight as I didn't want to cook! It was the "Friday Fish" night. Between us we had battered fish, fishcakes, battered sausage, chicken and mushroom pies, chips, peas and curry sauce, until we were stuffed! There was bread and butter if you wanted it. Added to a pint of lager and a bottomless Costa cappuccino, it came... More

I visited tonight with family and friends for a ladies 60th, and even though the pub was busy we had fabulous service. The meals were all different and came out looking wonderful. Mine was very tasteful, although it was only warm the manager was very apologetic and gave us free sweets 🍧 as a way of say sorry and even... More

Had lunch here with a friend. Fish, chips, and peas for both us us, plus drinks. Food OK - nothing special, as the chips were floury in the middle, and the fish heavily battered. Staff friendly and helpful, although the place was very busy. Happened to be in the area, so the Brocklebank was convenient for us, but not sure I'd... More

I have been to this restaurant before and not had a bad meal but I have to say we went tonight and some parts of the meal were cold and had to be sent back, the pan fried mushrooms looked like they had been done in a microwave, the first lot of mushy peas were rock hard and stone cold... More

Despite no signs to not bring food into the children's play area a member of staff took my disabled daughters meal from under her as I could not move due to supervising other children, the member of staff did so in a rude and unsympathetic manner there were absolutely no signs put up so it was an innocent mistake on... Been twice now and both times were the worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant. I was very disappointed, very cheap prices but the standard of food is terrible! Very friendly staff though

Over the years, this place has been hit and miss, we had a lovely family meal in November and have been back since, The food was hot and plentiful, not too long a wait, the staff are usually very busy , but pleasant. We will keep going back.
