Went for a meal last night and was seriously impressed by the changes made. The food was well above average and not your typical burger and chips and obviously freshly prepared and well presented and served with a smile. I highly recommend the sea bass risotto followed by praline profiteroles and chantilly cream mmmm. We were so impressed we stayed... More

Unfortunately we did not make a reservation and arrived around 1.15 pm and were told there would be a forty five minute wait to place our orders. Unable to. Comment on the food as we left to eat somewhere else

I visited the Cheshire Cheese with my husband last Friday evening, very long time since I had been before. The decor inside was very relaxing and uncluttered, staff were very friendly and took time to take our order and the food was excellent, the best meal I have had at this type of restaurant in a very long time. We... More

Been to the pub a number of times with both my family and friends in both small and large groups. I can honesty say that all the meals that I have had and that friends and family have have all been good and great value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone going their.

Called for a bite to eat with my daughter on a quiet Thursday night to be met by a waiter/bar tender to be told there were no more available tables for food (I could see at least 4 empty tables) because they were short staffed and only had 2 chefs in. Seriously guys get a grip

Went here for a staff outing for some drinks and food. Nearly everything on the menu was either unavailable or had a component missing (predominantly bacon), along with the impudent attitude of some staff - one waitress in particular when questioned on the lack of bacon chirped up "well you should have come yesterday then!" That aside, what was available... More

Very disappointing. Went to the Cheshire cheese yesterday for a Sunday meal with my husband and nine year old. The pub was not very busy and when I went to order food I was told it would take approx 40 minutes tops for the meals to be served. This was not a problem but unfortunately after waiting what seemed a... More
