Came for a meal at the weekend a couple of weeks ago. As a local family we've been here many times over the years, and the standard of food and service has been mixed. Firstly, the shabby chic concept works well, but owner Alan seems to think trendy decor and a fancy menu is all you need to run a... More

Had a wonderful lunch here on the Saturday before Mothers Day, as a treat from my son. We had never been before but will definatly go again. I had fish and chips with mushy peas - no big deal to any one else, but I have to follow a gluten free diet so to have beautiful gluten free batter was... More

The locals seemed to have a good old stare as we came in and if a piano had been playing it would have stopped!! We were early for our booking as wanted a drink first but there was no where to sit so we had to ask to be shown to our table instead. The only thing that put me off... More

Ate here with 4 work colleagues. Good levels of service, god food, excellent ales and make sure you have the 'posh chips' as a side order no matter when you are eating - they are to die for. Clean pub, clean toilets and you can look into the kitchen and watch your food being prepped. Recommended.

We went here on the spur of the moment after a walk at Waddesdon and had some really good, considerate service and decent food. I don't know why more pubs don't serve food all day but I'm glad this one does. Between us we had a tapas plate, a pulled pork burger, fish and chips, a really lovely beetroot and... More

We called in here after visiting Waddesdon Manor. Food is served all day. There was a lovely log fire burning at one end of the pub, which made it very cosy on a cold day. The interior is quite contemporary. The kitchen area can be seen from the restaurant. The prices are quite high for ordinary pub food. £11.00 for... More

Driving back from a beautiful weekend in the Cotswolds we stumbled across this lovely place. Really busy but managed to get a table. Two young lads working there completely rushed off their feet, a colleague had called in sick, they did a fantastic job! We had a belly of pork roast that was really good, excellent value & our list... More

Just popped in on a Tuesday evening for a quick snack. Beer was great, and the burgers were cooked perfectly. Decor, music and locals lovely.

We went to this pub as it had a Jazz night advertised. What I wasn't expecting was not only the most amazing live music but great food to match. They have a Jazz night every other Tuesday night. We will certainly be making this a regular thing. If you love music and food.......who doesn't, then definitely worth a visit.
