I was very impressed with everything about the Long Dog, my Partner had heard about the Pub from a Friend, so as we were passing we thought we would give it a go! We were made very welcome, and purchased som drinks and some food from the Menu! All I can say is the Food was Excellent! The portions were... More

Me and my girlfriend thought we would venture out into waddesdon for a meal and the long dog had been highly recommended. Great food from the new chef. Nice to taste some proper good traditional food cooked in the right way. Service was also spot on with a friendly welcome. Looking forward to next months new menu

Living in central London I often think I am spoiled for choice when it comes to eating out. I have to say that yesterday I had the best burger I have eaten in a long long time. I took my parents to the Long Dog Pub in Waddesdon (we had a lovely walk in the grounds opposite, would highly recommend... More

The Food and service was awful. Sent my chips back and they were return and still inedible. Will not be returning. Such a shame as we went with family and our lunch was ruined.

Kate we are finding it hard to believe you have even been to our restaurant as we have not had anyone complain about our chips for years! We sell approximately 200 portions of lovingly prepared chips, some 'poshed up' with parmesan and white truffle oil, some 'extra poshed up' with chorizo and manchego a week and our customers love them.... Do not bother eating here, the food is terrible. We had to wait ages and when the food arrived I had to send my goats cheese tart back, I could not eat it, it looked so unappetising, my 3 year old could've done a better job at the presentation. The chicken was also really dry. The pub also smelt of... More

We are really sorry you didn't enjoy your experience here. We did inform you of a wait for your food due to making the tart from scratch, I tasted the food you sent back (which you hadn't even tried) and it was absolutely delicious. The appearance really wasn't as bad as you are making out, rustic yes but maybe you... More

We checked out this place for Sunday lunch with friends, it was not busy when we arrived so we thought lunch would be fairly quick to come out of the kitchen. We sat there for almost an hour before food arrived and the beef wasn't cooked, totally raw right the way through which is fine if you like it that... More

i agree that the outside road is a bit of a mess but inside was nice and clean with ppleasant staff. The menu could do with a bit more variety very limited but you can see your food being cook in the kitchen. Its a bit on the pricey side for the sort of food on the menu and the bar... More

On arriving the first thing that stood out for us was the uneven surface of the car park and the untidy area to the side of the pub. On entering the pub we were struck by a really strong oily fish smell (not pleasant). That said, the barman was very friendly and welcoming and we found a comfortable table in... More

When we went inside we thought the place is quite nice but as soon we ordered things changed. I told them i have an allergy but they didn't take it into consideration while serving the food. The chicken wasn't cooked enough and the prices were quite higher for the food and services they offer.

Hi, thanks for your review. We take food allergies very seriously here which include a gluten free option for almost all our menu so I'm shocked to read your comments regarding that and would love to know more detail regarding your complaint. If you wish please email info@thelongdogpub.com I would also appreciate some further info regarding the bad service heading... More

Had heard good things about this place and indeed had tried it before when it was The Bell (Long Dog? Nah sorry it's always going to be The Bell - just pretentious renaming it because you have a pet!) Having arrived we had to wait 10 mins to get a drink, one member of staff and 6 customers in the...
