Interesting pub

We arrived in the evening to meet some friends. The pub was busy as a party of more than 30 people was already there. Francesco was serving us. Really nice service. Food was good, maybe small portions for some dishes. Good wines, shame that what we liked more finished after one bottle...the party... read more

Arrived at Waddeston in the rain on a Friday and had a warm welcome from Francesco and the other staff. Great cocktails and superb food. Wonderful attention to detail. Character pub without the pretention or gimickry. Really enjoyable.

What a great find. Whenever we visit Bicester Village retail centre, on the way back myself and my wife stop here for lunch. The food is tasty and has a good choice, sort of English Tapas, not mammoth in size, just right for a light intake. The staff are welcoming and obliging. A pleasurable experience, say hello to Josh

The only thing I would say is the menu is confusing. However the bar itself is great, I have been there when it's busy and it has an excellent vibe, whereas I this occasion it was warm and cosy. The food is excellent - the burger is the best in Buckinghamshire by a mile. The menu has a great selection... More

Disappointed with Sunday afternoon lunch. We were advised they were doing "small plates" and they recommend 2-3 per person. We ordered 2 each and are hearty eaters but the portions are too big so definitely 2 each max. The ham hock, beetroot saladand pork was lovely. The burger was rare which was disappointing as we hadn't been asked when ordering... More

We were told about this place by a lady at the National Trust House when we said we wanted to find somewhere close. It was a great find, Tapas style English food . The presentation and taste were great . The staff were friendly and very helpfull .

We were a large party for a rehearsal dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We had a lovely assortment of typical Brit items like fried fish and mushy peas, Scotch eggs, and Fish pie, as well as more veggie centric dishes like cauliflower au gratin and beet salad with goat cheese. We also liked the potted chicken liver... More

We were told that the pub had moved to a "small plate" menu and that we should order 2 - 3 dishes. The food was nice (although it didn't all appear at the same time) but prices were between £6 & £9 for very little food.

I took a gamble by taking family here for "Tapas" but was pleasantly surprised with the spin the restaurant had put on it. It's more like a mix of Spanish and British small plate food - you had fish, meat, cheese and vegetables on offer and for those who are looking for something bigger, they offered steak and burgers too.... Upon recommendation of a friend we decided to give this a try. To be quite frank there was not much of a choice on the menu. I decided to have the Rib Eye Steak which was £16. To my amazement this did not come with any vegetables or salad, these had to be ordered separately. I ordered the chips for... More
