Very friendly welcome by excellent bar staff and not your usual pub food! Try the pulled pork lettuce wraps packed with well thought through flavours and half the price of what they would be in some of Buck's "gastro pubs". Serving food willingly all day! A fantastic pint of IPA, great wine by the glass all served with a smile... More

Dirty & poor food. Toilets were not good, so always makes me wonder about the staff & kitchen. asked for a Pimms, it was so weak that we could have been drinking lemonade with mint in it. Beef sandwich. The meat was fatty, the bread was dry & the price far too high for the poor quality served. I had... More

My husband I happened on this place after a trip round Waddesdon Manor. First good sign was the place was very busy. Second sign all the faces were smiling especially the ones behind the bar. The meals were filling I had the duck salad. I could not finish it, they happily wrapped it up and I will be tucking into... More

Me and my girlfriend thought we would venture out into waddesdon for a meal and the long dog had been highly recommended. Great food from the new chef. Nice to taste some proper good traditional food cooked in the right way. Service was also spot on with a friendly welcome. Looking forward to next months new menu

Living in central London I often think I am spoiled for choice when it comes to eating out. I have to say that yesterday I had the best burger I have eaten in a long long time. I took my parents to the Long Dog Pub in Waddesdon (we had a lovely walk in the grounds opposite, would highly recommend... More

The Food and service was awful. Sent my chips back and they were return and still inedible. Will not be returning. Such a shame as we went with family and our lunch was ruined.

Kate we are finding it hard to believe you have even been to our restaurant as we have not had anyone complain about our chips for years! We sell approximately 200 portions of lovingly prepared chips, some 'poshed up' with parmesan and white truffle oil, some 'extra poshed up' with chorizo and manchego a week and our customers love them.... Do not bother eating here, the food is terrible. We had to wait ages and when the food arrived I had to send my goats cheese tart back, I could not eat it, it looked so unappetising, my 3 year old could've done a better job at the presentation. The chicken was also really dry. The pub also smelt of... More

We are really sorry you didn't enjoy your experience here. We did inform you of a wait for your food due to making the tart from scratch, I tasted the food you sent back (which you hadn't even tried) and it was absolutely delicious. The appearance really wasn't as bad as you are making out, rustic yes but maybe you... More

We checked out this place for Sunday lunch with friends, it was not busy when we arrived so we thought lunch would be fairly quick to come out of the kitchen. We sat there for almost an hour before food arrived and the beef wasn't cooked, totally raw right the way through which is fine if you like it that... More

i agree that the outside road is a bit of a mess but inside was nice and clean with ppleasant staff. The menu could do with a bit more variety very limited but you can see your food being cook in the kitchen. Its a bit on the pricey side for the sort of food on the menu and the bar... More
