We popped in here on our way home from Bicester village. It's clearly under rennovation and to be honest I wondered what we had let ourselves in for, but we needed have worried! The staff were exceptionally friendly and we had great service, our food was really tasty and there was plenty of it. The menu could perhaps have been... More

This place is amazing. My mother is gluten free and my girlfriend is a vegetarian and this amazing place caters for both with no problem at all. The staff are helpful and will help answer any questions about GF foods and put your mind at rest about what is and what isn't suitable for you. These things are also clearly... More

Popped in for lunch. It wasn't busy but it was obvious our order had been overlooked. Got free drinks as compensation. However once we got our food most impressed and had gluten free bread - really impressed me as wheat intolerant. Will visit again all the same.

Historic pub with tradiitonal previous name 'The Bell' changed as the new landlord has a dachshund to 'The Long Dog'. Pretensions of being a gastro pub, and although the food is ok it's nothing to write home about apart from the almost extortionate prices if you've any money left for the stamp. Much too expensive for what it is.

We visited this charming little pub on Tuesday evening to see what their "Open Mic Night" was like!!! Amazing such a wealth of talent for a little village pub and we even saw the landlord sing who was fantastic...think he should do this for a living.... went back today to try out the menu and we had the lamb dish... We were looking for somewhere to have lunch before a trip to Waddesdon Manor and happened upon the Long Dog. It was a lovely experience. We sat by the roaring fire with our dog. There was an extensive menu plus a choice of sandwiches. I had quesadillas and my dad had a sandwich and salad. All very tasty and well-presented... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal - including our fussy twelve year old daughter. Good portions and well presented. My wife and daughter went with burgers - pulled pork and steak and I had a pasta dish with chicken, sun dried tomato and mushroom. My wife was especially impressed by her ginger pudding. The atmosphere was added to by the live... More

We met with friends here for Sunday lunch and had some very good tapas to start. We all had roast beef and to call this a roast dinner is a joke. We all had to send our meals back as they were stone cold - not tepid but cold.Their were no slices of beef with this meal but small chopped... More

Dear easterbunny053, thank you for your review. I have used it to further educate and train the team. In our defence, we served 111 people for lunch on this day with over 60 roast dinners. The feedback we received from everyone except your table was excellent. I'm really not sure what happened with your meal but we can only apologise... More

Very friendly welcome by excellent bar staff and not your usual pub food! Try the pulled pork lettuce wraps packed with well thought through flavours and half the price of what they would be in some of Buck's "gastro pubs". Serving food willingly all day! A fantastic pint of IPA, great wine by the glass all served with a smile... More

Dirty & poor food. Toilets were not good, so always makes me wonder about the staff & kitchen. asked for a Pimms, it was so weak that we could have been drinking lemonade with mint in it. Beef sandwich. The meat was fatty, the bread was dry & the price far too high for the poor quality served. I had... More

Hi 101kitkat, Thanks for your review, I'm really sorry you didn't seem to get a good experience at all. We do serve 50ml of Pimms so it shouldn't have been weak but maybe they put it in a too large glass. Also what you received food wise sounds totally substandard and certainly not what we have been serving of late,... More
