LUNCH AFTER A WEEK AWAY IN THE PYRENEES

Having heard about Nelson Street during a Burns Supper, we had to give it a try and so booked a table for lunch on our return from a week in the Pyrenees. What a very pleasant surprise. Staff and food were excellent. The menu varied and to find a Caragnan Grenache on the wine list made our day. We... read more

Came across this whilst staying locally and what a gem. Lovely food on the menu with some well thought out dishes with a twist. Loved the deconstructed Rhubarb Crumble. Great theme with F1 pictures, which is great considering its proximity to Silverstone

After all the rave reviews (including from my own family) I was a bit disappointed. They didn't have everything on the wine list and they only had one bottle of beer (they'd had a big party in the night before) but I expected better for a Friday night although it turned out to be pretty quiet. The starters were the... More

Fun and vibrant bistro with relaxed, natural service and an eclectic menu to suit most tastes. Starters of buffalo wings and sausages were great. Mains were good - rib eye was cooked well but the accompanying jus was on the thin/watery side, belly of pork was tasty. Nicely finished off with a salted caramel brownie and ice-cream. Need to book... More

Small friendly restaurant. Lovely atmosphere, staff attentive and food was amazing. We were a party of 14 and every one of us were amazed by the food, everything was presented beautifully and tasted lovely. Could not find fault at all and would highly recommend. Thanks for a great evening.

A great restaurant which leaves you feeling comfortable and relaxed as soon as you walk in. The staff are friendly and look after all your requirements. The meals are just the rights size and taste amazing. After the starter and main course my husband and I thought we would never be able to fit a dessert in. The staff there... More

My daughter has already written to you about the wonderful meal that Nelson Street provided on the 18th December for my Birthday. The Restaurant was beautifully and tastefully decorated for Christmas. Every member of staff you feel is a well oiled cog in a wheel. They care about what they do and it shows. We all had different dishes and... More

Went here on the 18/12/15 for my mums birthday. It was amazing, the food was outstanding, the staff were very friendly. It was busy and the atmosphere was buzzing. The staff were on point, no delays, no problems, no waiting. A perfect place to eat, I would highly recommend!!!

Visited with a friend initially not really knowing what to expect. The restaurant is cozy with a nice atmosphere, and it was clearly a popular place. We ended up having a three course meal, starting with some nibbles, followed by the burger with bacon jam and cheese, a great home cooked burger and so tasty. For dessert I had the... More

The food here is very well executed, i would say the portions are on the smaller side and also on the more expensive side, however the quality would outweigh any negatives. It's presented well and dishes are combined with complimentary flavours. Whilst the food was good there was a downside to the experience, it took a very long time for... More
