Top Notch Dinner

We booked in for dinner last week & had a really fabulous meal. My husband & I often visit The Cape but mainly for breakfast or for a coffee. Although we have visited before for dinner we hadn't been for a while so thought it was about time we rectified that! The service was very good and Mark... read more

My wife and I had not eaten here before for an evening meal so I booked us in for valentine's Day 2015. When I booked the menu was standard so I was surprised when we got there to see we had a special sharing menu to choose from! All options sounded lovely, and we had a nice fizzy drink on... More

this restaurant has a good ambience and serves authentic cuisine with a South African twist. The kingclip fish was excellent and the chicken curry with a Cape twist was also great. The owners Jo and Mark are attentive and knowledgeable and there is also a decent wine list. For an uncomplicated and pleasant evening it is well worth a try.... More

I have visited the Cape many times for breakfast and lunch and have always had a fantastic experience. My fiancé and I decided to try out the restaurant on one of our 'date nights' and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The decor and atmosphere is quirky and tasteful, the service was brilliant and the food, as expected was delicious. We sat... More

When we go out for a special evening thats what we want it to be. Not over priced, same old menu & average service. The Cape restaurant, menu and service are special. The owners care and it shows

Loved this place. Firstly the decor and exterior was to my liking spotless and with a rustic looking charm. The service was super considering I came for a birthday brunch in a group of 9 and they were generally busy that morning. We were well looked after and food was delicious. I recommend the salmon and poached eggs on a... More

This is a nice establishment which has grown steadily since it opened in Beaconsfield. The layout is kinda shabby chic with odd pieces of furniture and it looks nice. For the best toasted cheese sandwiches ANYWHERE!! Totally delicious and huge!! Coffee is good too. Service let's it down a bit as it struggles with finding reliable staff and is often... More

When I made the booking for this restaurant, I was a little apprehensive as it looked like a cafe more then a place you would go for dinner. Never the less we made a reservation because there was a dessert on the menu we really wanted to try. When we got there it looked like a really up market cafe... More

We wanted to try this restaurant because my boyfriend is South African and misses the food sometimes! We liked the food- it was modern European really, with a few African touches. They offer a relatively limited evening menu but you wouldn't struggle to find something you liked. They had nearly run out of Kingklip (fish) the night we visited so... More
