Great brunch spot

The Cape is a great place for brunch. It's a place to go for a little treat as it's more pricey then other breakfasty places, but the cafe is nice to spend time in. Altenatively you could grab a coffee w a friend and spend time here just as long.

We have loved The Cape since we moved to Beaconsfield. Best brunch spot in the area by far. We even had them cater a party for us and it was all delicious. Only sad to see their Food Hygiene Rating is pretty low.

Thank you for your review, and glad you enjoy visiting us. I do wish that you would have spoken with us about this first to establish the reasons and correct facts, as to read comments like this on a social media doesn't help anybody, as you undoubtably you know trip advisor is a powerful tool and can make or break... We stopped here today for brunch. Great friendly staff and we found it hard to choose as so many delicious options. In the end I had eggs royals and my husband The Big 5 brekkie. Both arrived hot , beautifully presented and were faultless. Coffee also good and hot. The scones fresh from the oven and muffins looked great too... More

I came here a few years ago and wasn't too impressed, so hadn't visited for a while. I was in town and desperate for a coffee so I popped in and was very pleasantly surprised. The counter has moved opening up the space and making it much lighter and brighter. The flow is much improved and generally was just a... More

I visited The Cape on Saturday evening for dinner with my boyfriend and his mum. We have been here several times for lunch and have always enjoyed it, so we were intrigued as to what dinner would be like. The quality of food was fantastic - the lamb samosas in particular were amazing - even better than most curry houses... More

The staff are lovely, they work SO hard. I have enjoyed breakfast there many times and light lunches. Not sure the coffee is the best but since I drink decaf I guess you could say I do not drink real coffee (ask for an extra shot).

I sing this place's praises and recommend it to my friends for good reason. The food is delicious and great value for money. The staff could smile a little more but even with their current happiness I'll be back time and again. The owners do a great job in serving fresh, tasty food and I must say, if you haven't... More

I'm not normally reviewing restaurants but, having eaten breakfast before went for dinner at the cape with friends on Friday night. Once again they did not disappoint. What a great evening!! The food, superb, great presentation (try the braii platter)! Nice original decor and atmosphere. Service was attentive and the staff were very professional and knowledgeable. The manager always had... More

Visited with family for a Friday evening meal, with high expectations. What we got was ... interesting. The good points were that the food was good of very good, tho' main course should normally come with some vegetables to my old fashioned thinking. The meats were all well cooked and tasty. The downside - despite having a good number of... More

Been meaning to write this review for a while...so at long last here it is. Have eaten at cape since it was a tiny cake, breakfast place long before its expansion. So have seen it grow and flourish. We tend to visit every 3 months for breakfast and at least once every 6 months for a lunch/evening meal. Enjoy the... More
