My wife and I had a very good lunch at the Cape . We`ve been there before and it`s chan ged layout is now much improved and our experience much better than before [ it was good before !] Friendly staff and possibly the best burger I`ve had in a while .

Tried to enjoy a brunch with my 2 children and the manager wouldn't leave us alone. Commented on my buggy being in the way - it wasn't. Then told me that my baby looked too hot in his jacket. Felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome.

We went there for mothers day brunch and it was very busy but the owner managed to find us a table and was extremely friendly, giving us personal service. All other waitress's we dealt with were lovely too! The food was delicious my steak in my steak ciabatta sandwich was one of the best cooked steaks i have ever had... More

Was recommended to eat here by my boss. I was apprehensive , not knowing what some of the food was when I looked at the menu online. The restaùrant itself beautiful, I loved the decor and ambience was just right. Candelabras on the table, throne style chairs, mirrors etc, was very well designed. Staff immensely helpful when choosing, didn't mind... More

This cafe should in theory be the perfect place to go for a coffee/lunch with friends and family, but (apart from one particularly lovely staff member) I have never met such rude staff and owners in all my life and I'm genuinely shocked at the good reviews this place receives. The rudeness I have experienced of the staff is just... More

My wife & I ate here late on Sunday morning, just hitting the 11:30am deadline for the breakfasts. Both of our breakfasts were superb, although not cheap but the quality of the ingredients is reflected in that, this ain't your standard greasy spoon. The staff were always smiling and very helpful and the coffee was lovely. Added bonus of sitting... More

We booked in for dinner last week & had a really fabulous meal. My husband & I often visit The Cape but mainly for breakfast or for a coffee. Although we have visited before for dinner we hadn't been for a while so thought it was about time we rectified that! The service was very good and Mark was spot... More

My wife and I had not eaten here before for an evening meal so I booked us in for valentine's Day 2015. When I booked the menu was standard so I was surprised when we got there to see we had a special sharing menu to choose from! All options sounded lovely, and we had a nice fizzy drink on... More

this restaurant has a good ambience and serves authentic cuisine with a South African twist. The kingclip fish was excellent and the chicken curry with a Cape twist was also great. The owners Jo and Mark are attentive and knowledgeable and there is also a decent wine list. For an uncomplicated and pleasant evening it is well worth a try.... More
