Good Meal

Service was excellent. Attentive and friendly. Food overall was very good. Well cooked and plentiful. Only slight disappointment were the potatoes which were slightly undercooked. All in all well recommended.

It was my first time at Guido's, visiting with my boyfriend, his parents and his grandparents, who had all visited before and save it for only very special occasions. We were greeted very amicably and drink orders were taken while looking at the menu. Waiters were knowledgeable when it came to the food and wine, and were very pleasant. At... More

Went to Guido's for an informal family dinner on a generic Monday, but the whole experience was just superb and unforgettable! Proper Italian restaurant, proper genuine hospitality. Masters on their job. Every single detail was taken care of and a touch of elegance was the silverware. Food sublime and simply perfect, we had different dishes, meat/fish/pasta and everything was spotless.... More

Having been recommended by a friend to try Guido's, we were not disappointed. It was a pleasure to experience some good old fashioned service with spotless table cloths and proper napkins. The service was excellent, portions of food very generous, and all good quality

I feel guilty robbing Guido's of two stars as the service has always been, and remains, typically attentive, friendly and efficient, and they really do try very hard to please. They succeed too, but I suspect mostly to a generation brought up in the '70s on very rich, heavy sauces and "traditional" (tired) dishes. Although everything is well prepared and... More

I went to Guidos recently with my husband and friends. None of us had been there for years and we wanted to try it again. Service was good and the food was good Italian. We would return again.

We eat a Guido's regularly and they have a good Italian menu which is why we keep going back. We recently took our grandchildren there to eat for father days and they looked after them well.

We hadn't visited Guido's for some time and had forgotten how good it is. It's a traditional Italian restaurant with flambé entertainment thrown in ! I can recommend the Veal Saltimbocca - excellent. Also, they have a great cellar - try the Louis Latour Gevrey Chambertin. We'll be returning again soon.

Last Friday took the family for our first visit to Guido's to celebrate my daughter finishing her finals at Uni. Took me back to my childhood. Old fashioned manners and courtesy from the staff. Food was excellent, huge portions, service was faultless. We will definitely be back.

1st visit to Guidos, 3 courses, bottle of wine £42 pp. Traditional Italian, good selection of veal dishes, which is unusual these days, food was delicious and good portions. Service was excellent . Yes the menu, surroundings and style of service may be considered 'old school' by some, but we felt it was all the better for that-there are plenty... More
