The quaint Buckinghamshire town of Amersham plays host to the excellent ASK Italian restaurant, situated in a charming building along the cobbled streets of the town centre. This ASK Italian restaurant has recently gone through an extensive refurbishment. We've created a restaurant with a distinctive new look inspired by modern Italian design. And with the help of our expert friends, including awarding-winning chef Theo Randall, we've created a menu that features a range of simple, classic Italian food and an all Italian wine list.

Perfectly good pasta

We were a party of 8 so forced to look for a restuarant to accommodate us. Ask is in a delightful old pub. The service was good as the restuarant was quiet. We all had pasta as we were all moving on to go to homes spread across the Southern Counties. We all had perfectly good pasta, nothing... read more

I have eaten here twice, and now have decided I won't go back, there is a better Italian option close by... The starters are good, but the mains are a disappointment. I like Spaghetti Carbonara and have had this both times. (Giving them a second chance) and both times its been tasteless.. I even think the supermarket fresh stir in... More

We have in the past arrived soaked to the skin, more than a little muddy after a dog walk, deeply apologetic for our appearance and been warmly welcomed. Everyone who has ever served us there has been friendly, helpful and very good with gluten-free requirements. Really pleasant modern, light decor in an old coaching inn. The gluten-free pizza is wonderfully... More

We went on New Years day and the restaurant was far from busy. We were a party of 6 - all ordered from the set menu. 1 of us ordered a starter and a main, the rest ordered a main and desert. Although we were not in a hurry we expected the mains to come out with the starter or... More

Great service at this Ask in Amersham on a Sunday night over the Christmas holidays. We enjoyed a cocktail (the elderflower/prosecco), then pizzas, chicken salad and ice cream, profiteroles and caramel tart for dessert. The pizzas and chicken salad were best, as well as a new starter - chilli dough sticks - which were excellent. Our 7 year old said... More

We were a party of about 16, we were given a table upstairs which was very private, but is on a galleried landing so we still felt part of the restaurant. The timing of the service felt perfect we did not feel at all rushed, neither were we neglected in any way. Plenty of choice and the food was all... More

It took about an hour to get our starter and in general the service was slow but friendly. We certainly did not feel rushed and the food was fine. One of our party mentioned an allergy and I must say the waiter took great care in investigating the menu and avoiding any problems. So although I thought they could have... More
