Some previous reviews made us apprehensive as we had not been to this branch of ASK before. However our experience was very good. It is sited in a lovely old building & the restaurant was very busy for a Thursday evening - pleased we had booked! The service was prompt & attentive, and the fish risotto & pasta dishes we... More

The restaurant is in a lovely location. at first the service seemed great but then it slowed down which doesn't help when you are waiting ages for the bill and have two young kids with you. Also I specifically asked if the the Chocolate Fudge cake was served warm and was informed that yes it would be. Guess what when... More

It is a normal ASK restaurant but located in a historic building in Old Amersham. It makes the whole experience quite nice and relaxing. The food is good and they have a right choice of dishes for everyone. That's why is is very popular with families. Service is OK, waiters are polite and nice. It is not very expensive and... More

I ordered the sea food stew, but could not find a single prawn or evidence of sea bass. I mentioned the lack of prawns to the waitress and she agreed to arrange for a separate dish. The stew contained only 3 mussels and each one was closed. I mentioned this to the waitress and she agreed this was wrong and... More

We have an Ask restaurant in our local town and it's always been a poor experience so we were dubious about trying this one. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Although we only had a salads, the place was packed with diners who all seemed to be enjoying their food and the atmosphere.

I really liked this branch of Ask- it has a really nice atmosphere due to being in an older style building. We were quickly shown to our (pre-booked) table and offered drinks and menus. However, we were not told what they didn't have available that evening and so when it came to giving food orders there was no Pork Belly.... More

It's part of a chain, so you kinda know what to expect from the food... What makes the difference for me is the service - and over Sunday lunch today, despite being busy, it was friendly and efficient. Not all the tables are great - I didn't fancy the one by the door to the toilets - but otherwise a... More

The venue is great, very old and friendly but with modern furniture. The staff are very helpful and polite, I will go as far as, the best service I have received from restaurant staff in a long time, The food was served in a reasonable time and it tasted very nice, after our dinner we were left to sit and... This is the flagship of all the ASK restaurants, the building is amazing with twisted wooden beams and a huge inglenook fireplace. The Spanish manager is great as are most of the waiting staff. The chefs are great, they serve a mean volcanic hot Stromboli pizza, not for the faint hearted, be warned! The menus are good as are the... More
