OK for a snack

The location in the beautiful Amersham old town is great. Although a chain restaurant - the interior of the restaurant is big and still retains the original old building beams and fireplace. There is street parking if you are early or a p&d car park opposite. The menu has a good range of the usual... read more

Charming and affordable Italian cuisine in a great location. There are few more picturesque locations then Amersham in the sun, and although this a chain Ask is a thoroughly enjoyable experience for a light family meal. Kids welcome too.

Being part of a very large chain means this restaurant is never going to really shine out. Like most other chain outlets it's staffed by young cooks who frequently move on and are taught to follow instructions and not trained as a proper chef would be over several months or years. To use the word "chef" would being unkind to... More

We met some friends here for lunch and very nice it was too! The prawn starters were excellent as was the calamari. The main courses of pizza & pasta were good too as was the service and atmosphere.

Visited on the 21st January and yes the heating was not working. It did not spoil the meal at all but ASK management should have fixed this by now. Heaters at the front door do not work. My wife and I had grilled prawn and calamari for starters followed by Stromboli piazza and penne pasta with chicken and mushroom. Top... More

Went for my mothers birthday came in last minute and they accommodated 9 of us very well. Matt the GM was very good and they set up by the bar area which was like having our very own dining room. Starters were garlic bread, olives and dough balls which were lovely. I had the seafood risotto which again was delicious... More

Saturday lunchtime in mid January and the temperature outside is 2 degrees centigrade; the temperature inside isn't much higher for the central heating's out of commission. There were three of us, including a 94 year-old, and to have left seeking somewhere warmer on this busy Saturday lunchtime would have been futile. That the money men who operate the Ask chain... My wife and I have just had a lovely evening meal here tonight, the service was excellent and the food was more than adequate with plenty of options. The waitress who looked after us was very attentive without being invasive and we never had to wait to long for our food and the 50% off the main meals voucher we... More

We were a party of 4 adults and 2 young children. Everyone was well behaved (!) and the experience was most enjoyable. Service was quick and friendly and food quality most acceptable. I like the soft cushioned chairs and good lighting. The restaurant is well positioned in the heart of Amersham old town where there is good street and private parking.... More

Have eaten here a few times over the last few years (so not a regular) but my last visit could well be my last. We had a family get together one lunchtime between Christmas and New Year. The waiter took our drinks order once we were seated and had had a chance to think about what we wanted. When the... More
