Relaxed lunch, nice atmosphere. Quite expensive.

The Plough was recommended by an Italian friend. We thought the service was fantastic. They were attentive, good at recommending dishes and wines. It was very quiet but they appeared to accommodate families well. The atmosphere was nice and friendly, the interior was comfortable and spacious... read more

My partner and I visited this pub on Saturday evening and sat in the front garden - this catches the sun perfectly in the evening so is warm with a nice view of the green. We had starters of bruschetta and calamari which were both really good, however the pizzas were out of this world. The crust was perfect -... More

I debated about whether to rate poor or average, but decided poor mainly due to service, which will be explained (quite detailed, sorry!) I have lived in Beaconsfield for the majority of my life, and had been looking forward to visiting the Plough as this was one of the only restaurants in the wider area which I have not been... More

Thank you very much for your comments. I am very sad to hear you had such a poor experience. Your experience created the completely wrong impression of what we are all about. Whilst invariably we do have some local customers our clientele is mostly made up from a wider audience from far and wide. As you will know from the... More

We have visited the plough on 4 occasions now, twice in larger family groups and twice as a couple with our young son. The first impressions are always good. Lots of parking at the back. Lovely artisan shop to wander through on your way in and then the tastefully decorated & thoughtfully furnished bar and restaurant are a welcome site.... More

Thank you so much for the very positive response, always a pleasure to hear good things. Thank you for your comments regarding our dessert menu, this is something we have struggled with a little, mainly because we do not want to buy in any ready made or frozen products. We are currently working on some ideas to improve in this... More

Had the pleasure of spending a good part of the day here a a couple of weeks ago for my best friend's wedding - I will probably run out of superlatives to describe everything! Food, as always, was fantastic and perfectly cooked ranging from seafood risotto to parmigiana. The service was consistently efficient , friendly and helpful and special mention... More

The Plough was recommended by an Italian friend. We thought the service was fantastic. They were attentive, good at recommending dishes and wines. It was very quiet but they appeared to accommodate families well. The atmosphere was nice and friendly, the interior was comfortable and spacious. The only downfall was it was fairly expensive, it really depends on your price... More

Thank you for your comments, it is always nice to hear when our customers have enjoyed their time with us. You have commented that you felt we were expensive, it would be helpful if you could be more specific as this area is always a tricky one. In general it is difficult to make comparisons as whilst we are an... More

Came here on a Saturday evening. Very nice bar area with a good selection of ale and lager. Dining area is spacious and bright, with laid tables. The Veggie sharing board was very good, with excellent burrata. The pizza were very authentic, and the steak cooked as requested. A good selection of wine, well priced. Overall, a very good experience... More

I have eaten here with friends and family on multiple occasions and have always found the pizzas to be excellent; possibly some of the best I've eaten outside of Italy. I read some mixed reviews but have always been impressed by the food and the warm level of service. Highly recommended!

Service levels extremely poor & total lack of communication. It was a busy restaurant & they seemed to crumble under the pressure. Not once were we asked how our meal was or kept informed of any delays- it gave the impression of chaos. The personal touch of a local run pub was non existent & I found the senior members... More

We are very sorry that you did not have a good experience with us on Mother's Day. I cant deny that things were chaotic and the waiting time was extended in a couple of cases. I've been eating at The Plough for a while now, and the one thing that keeps me coming back is the fantastic service! Don't get me wrong, the food is Italiano perfecto and the country pub/Neapolitan restaurant are what make this establishment truly exclusive, but over the previous summer the bar staff in particular were exceptional! The attached shop means... More
